I am a long term investor using a mix of long-term investments and dividend payers to build more long-term wealth, and short-term short player when market condition warrants it. As a third generation investor, I am using a lot of information past on by my Father and Grandfathers to temper my investment strategies.
While my investment style is very similar to Warren Buffett, I take more of an interest in in tech stocks as a quick growth potential to build wealth. Followed by moving the money out of tech stocks into dividend paying companies for a greater degree of protection.
Currently, I am in the process of writing a short book (started as a few notes) on information and knowledge that I've picked up over the years to past on to my kids so that they will have a leg up in making better investment decisions. I figured that if my Father and Grandfathers can retire as millionaires and I'm getting closer to that myself without inheritance yet, why not have my kids able to do that at a much younger age while out having to wait for inheritance and learn a better lesson about managing money by hands on experience.
