  • Clearwire Reminds Stockholders to Vote the White Proxy Card Today [View article]
thanks gjasick, I'm pretty sure we know that this is not the end of it. Sprint is buying time and know that the minority holders will not accept this offer. Just buying some time. Expecting another better offer coming. Thinking about doubling down to 40K shares. Nothing to lose but the trading fee at this price on the new shares but so much to gain if a better offer comes.

  • Valero Is Well Positioned To Profit From The Shale Oil Boom [View article]
I'm aware but these are just temporary permits. The main point is that the oil stays in North America. The amount we import from Canada more than replace the oil we export there. Their oil is just as cheap if not cheaper than ours. So, I don't see this trend continuing.

To clarify- "One argument that can be made against our investment thesis is that increasing volumes of light crude oil delivered to the Gulf Coast region may cause local oil prices to go up instead of down. This may occur if the necessary infrastructure is put into place to ship domestic crude oil, from the Gulf Coast, to overseas markets where crude oil trades at a higher price than in the continental United States"
-- Author, did you not know that U.S. companies are forbidden to export crude oil???

  • Valero: Double Digit Pullback Since March Creates A Classic Buying Opportunity [View article]
It means that you have to own it on 4/19. Which means you have to execute your buy order 3 business days prior to that date. You can sell VLO on the 20th and still receive the new issue.

  • A Clearwire Update: Bankruptcy And Default As Clearwire's Ace In The Hole [View article]
CLWR cannot accept financing from any entity except from Sprint. Sprint has the final say regarding this. Won't let it happen. Call it a loss if you bought higher than 3.30 and move on. I'm happy I got in at under 1.50.

I'm just waiting for Facebook to announce that they will be developing games and enter this market so that they will finally kill the dead dog.

Keep praying because once Facebook applies for a gaming license (now that they both have officially cut off ties and can compete with each other) Zynga will be dead!!! At the end of the day, Facebook is a publicly traded company chasing profits, despite what CEO Mark Zuckerberg says. It might not be developing games today, but that doesn’t mean it won’t create them in the future. The new terms with Zynga now leaves that door open, should it want to make its own games next year. This is I believe was the real reason Facebook cut ties with ZNGA.

  • Zynga: The Prodigal Son Returns [View article]
The threat is real now that they are no longer exclusive to Znga. I wouldn't hold on to Znga for the long term. As I said before, at the end of the day, Facebook is a publicly traded company chasing profits, despite what Mark Zuckerberg says. It might not be developing games today, but that doesn’t mean it won’t create them in the future. The new terms with Zynga now leaves that door open, should it want to make its own games one day. I feel safer leaving my money in FB. The company has just as much potential for 500% gains as ZNGA and the down side is limited compared to ZNGA if they announce a move into gaming in a year or two. Even if they need to buy out an existing gaming company other than ZNGA.

Yes, I was going to mention this Jetnation. Even if NV protects their own casinos that doesn't mean that if NY passes online gambling it will protect them too. They certainly will allow ZNGA a gaming license as well as Facebook. Facebook is the real threat!!! I wouldn't keep my chips in ZNGA very long if I were any of you. Facebook is the better bet. It has more than gambling as a source of revenue.

I wouldn't hold for that long, you will lose your money. I don't have any position in this stock. There are low barriers to entry. Too much competition. Ex Znga executives are starting their own gaming company. Facebook is a better bet once they get on board real money gaming. Audience is much bigger on their website/mobile app. That's where all their friends are too. The only thing positive is that it might be a takeover target by a casino if that happens at all. One more thing "10 million downloads of Zynga poker" ...you're kidding right? How many of those are people living in NV or NJ??? And what percentage of those do you think will gamble real money??? and how much do you think those few will contribute to the bottom line of Znga? Its gonna take more than 3 years buddy for gaming to go nationwide.
