Does anyone know why Synaptics is so low? It's had nothing but glowing reviews. Seems like it's being manipulated to someone's benefit. I'm caught on the wrong side, and pretty irritated.

My thought is that people paying 300 dollars a share for stock are not interested in getting a $6 per year dividend. They want that money going into growth and eventual stock splits. I'm curious to understand why Google trades at such a high number. (5 times that of Amazon, an order of magnitude higher than MSN...etc etc.)

Maybe we need consumer contraction. Everyone will be in debt, including our own government, if we need consumerism to grow beyond its means for the businesses of this world to survive.
I'm hoping it's turn around time - I started my own personal portfolio this last year. It's up to 3k. I have 2 stocks, GOOG and NLY, One growth stock and one dividend stock. from all I'm reading, and by doing the math, I think I'll be ok. Some of the stock experts' picks give me a queasy feeling. Sometimes I think they're just trying to grab attention
