Statements such as the ion being "superior even to Intel's new Atom chip" are misleading. What do you mean by chip? The Ion platform is a chipset designed to use the Intel Atom processor, including the Atom N280. It is superior to Intel 945GSE chipset and may be superior to intels new GN40 chipset. The ion is not a processor and thus can not be superior to any processor.
