  • Ben Bernanke And QE3++ [View article]
Here is my gauge of real inflation from Atlanta. Two years ago I could buy a chuck steak on sale for $1.95 per pound. Today is saw the price at $4.50 per pound. My house has gone from a valuation of $450,000 dollars before the crash to $250,000 now. QE $quat!

  • The entire solar sector is taking a beating from First Solar's (FSLR -18.6%) woes and a string of weak earnings reports from China Sunergy (CSUN -7.5%), JA Solar (JASO -1%) and Yingli Green (YGE -10.8%). • First Solar (FSLR -5.7%) falls hard after Pac Crest cuts its estimates in response to JA Solar and Yingli's disappointing Q2 reports. Though still down on the year, First Solar has been one of this summer's best performers, thanks to a strong Q2 report and growing investor confidence that the company's new focus on projects instead of module sales will pay off. Update: Eric Savitz claims Pac Crest didn't cut its estimates today, as was reported by The Fly on the Wall. [View news story]
What does Pc Crest know? Answer: no more than the rest of us. Question, Does FSLR have the same business model as Yingli or JA Solar? Answer: No.

  • Buy Gasoline Futures To Profit From Storms Ernesto And Florence [View article]
The outages in the SE were outages in Atlanta (where i live) and were caused by a rumor that led to a buying panic. Everyone tried to buy gas at 2PM and guess what happened. It took a few days for the pipeline to fill back up and everything returned to normal.

Before the EPA, the pollution on the Cuyahoga river caught on fire and people dropped dead in Pitts. during an air inversion. Capitalism does not police itself as witness these events and you could throw in the crash of 08 as well.

  • I Hate To Interrupt Today's Rally, But ... [View article]
A bunch of bullshit. I paid into Social Security all my life and you have the nerve to call it an entitlement. That is my money that I am now collecting. Second, I have been paying through my premiums for every deadbeat out there that games medical insurance. It's time for them to pay for their own insurance. Here in GA., everyone that has a car must be insured so that if you have a wreck, you will have the coverage to pay. Why then is it so great not to have to pay your hospital bills and force the payment on us. If you cut the American Empire in half, (over 1,000 military installations world wide) you would be able to provide medical care for everyone.

  • After a sweeping rebuke representing "total collapse of investor confidence" in Chesapeake's (CHK +3%) board - shareholders rejected two directors up for re-election and only 20% approved CEO compensation - is Aubrey McClendon's ouster next? Two-thirds of CHK’s board could be new appointees by July 1, and McClendon won’t have hand-picked any of them.  [View news story]

  • Global Economic Descent Continues [View article]
Just what is QE? It looks to me as the Fed giving taxpayer money to Big Banks who in turn loan it back to the Fed to collect risk free interest. If that is true, then the system is one of National Socialism.
