Qwest: Verizon Wireless Migration Going Well [View article]
My concern is for those current Qwest wireless customers that do not want to switch to Verizon. For some, the switch is impractical because Verizon does not provide service to many of the mountain communities. If these people want out of their contract they have to switch to Verizon, try the service, and then cancel the service before the 1 month trial period ends. The only other option is to pay the cancellation fee. Is this legal? Can Qwest force a wireless customer to choose Verizon even though they do not service their community? When I worked in Qwest retail we were told not to inform customers from mountain communities that their Verizon service will not work. Is that legal? I question Qwest's integrity.
