  • Anticipating The Next Golden Cross [View article]
However, if you look at a monthly chart, the 50 Month SMA is getting close to crossing BELOW the 200 Month SMA. That hasn't happened in at least 24 years- that's as far back in time as my chart goes. Anyone know the last time that happened?

Seems sort of ominous to me...

Were you also bullish prior to November 2008? And wrong. Or are you so good you knew in advance that the bottom was about to fall out of the market?

This is 2008 again. If it starts looking like Obama will win the election, this year will be worse than 2008.

The VIX always goes down until it stops going down. Just because it's low today doesn't mean it won't pop tomorrow.

Maybe your ex-wife was right... You don't seem to like being reminded of how wrong you are.

Don't confuse me with the facts.

  • These days, picking a market bottom is more like trying to catch a falling broadsword than a knife, but there are a few encouraging signs out there, observes market technician J.C. Parets. The combination of lower selling volumes, record bearish sentiment readings from Investors Intelligence - a contrarian buy signal - plus a bullish seasonality factor may be enough encouragement for the bulls to put on their rally caps, for a while at least.  [View news story]
Gas was very cheap when Bush left office.

Obama still has our troops in those same two wars.

I'm guessing from your typing that you are about 18-20 years old. You were probably too busy playing video games to even remember most of the Bush years.

    Moron.

9/11 could have happened under any president. Obama still has our soldiers in Iraq. The financial system was doomed when we started giving mortgages to people with bad credit who couldn't handle that responsibility. Wasn't it Clinton who started that genius idea?

Wasn't gas considerably cheaper during the Bush years also?

I'll take the Bush years anytime.
