The Bull Case for Apollo Gold (AGT)

Apollo announced June 2, 2009 that the Company has achieved Commercial Production and is currently processing 1500 tonnes of ore per day. It appears that Apollo will be producing about 3000 ounces of gold each week till the next piece of milling equiptment is installed in July and then the rate should move on toward 2000 TPD and 4000 ounces of gold production per week.

Value of Junior Miners Stabilizes Relative to the Price of Gold

Apollo Gold shareholders today are patiently awaiting news from the TSX expected by Friday Feb 20 that the $70 million financing agreed to by Bankers and Management can move forward. Apollo has 1,330,000 ounces proven gold at the Black Fox mine in Matheson Ontario and expects to be in production by April 15, 2009. Annual production is expected to top 150,000 ounces gold per year over the life of mine.
IMO Apollo Gold is one of the "right Juniors". I have been a shareholder for more than three years.

Gold: The Long-Run Value

As walleke states above "A good investment is one worth making because you'll have more gold after the investment than before." I agree with this and add that one can find such a good investment buying shares in a gold mining company that is, run by management that has successfully operated mining ventures in the past, has made a discovery, drilled it and proven the reserves to a point that bankers will fund the development of the mine, and is within 60 days of opening the next major new gold mine in Canada called Black Fox. If you would care to begin your own due diligence on Apollo Gold, there should be more than enough information here to Google. My intention is to eventually exchange the appreciated value of the shares for the static debt of my home mortgage and then buy phsical gold with a substantial portion of the rest.
So I would add this to Walleke's statement.
A good investment is one worth making because it will allow you to pay off old valued debt with new valued shares and still allow you to have more gold after the investment than before."
