  • Five Reasons the Market Could Crash This Fall [View article]
It amazes me how foolish some people are. I agree that a correction is due but a 50% correction to March lows?! I'll take that bet. Have fun losing your shirt.

Does anyone else notice how blatantly biased Durden is? I appreciate your analysis and you are a great writer... but you are allowing your biased to cloud your judgment. In essence, making you worthless as an analyst. You have to learn how to analyze the market... not the economy. Because if the last few months have showed us anything, they do NOT always move in correlation. Quite the contrary in fact. Those who understand this can position themselves to make a killing. Those who don't... No offense, but like yourself... may in fact be right long term, but they will not make nearly as much.

    Flame away.

  • The Week That Actually Was (Not as the Market and Media Would Have You Believe) [View article]
"Caveat emptor on any February data point that is seasonally adjusted at a time of the year when winter weather typically forces most of the country into hibernation. This was no ordinary February. At an average of 37 degrees (F), the month was two degrees warmer than a year ago and four degrees balmier than two years ago."

Honestly? Durable goods are often planned purchases. Do you honestly believe I would withhold making a purchase because it was 35 degrees and not 37?

The rest of your analysis was excellent, but your rant about temperatures show your obvious bias towards the downside. You are allowing it to cloud your judgment.

    Hey Mark,

Thanks for the review, I found it very insightful. If you don't mind me asking, what price did you buy in at? Looking at the average daily volume, I'm assuming the directors own a significant portion of the stock. Don't you feel this will restrict its future gains?

I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks, Mark

China buys U.S. treasuries(Dollar denominated) with Renminbi. Thus, this requires them to exchange Renminbi for U.S. Dollars, which causes the U.S. dollar to appreciate... Aka, fight inflation, not fuel it.
