  • Why Public Companies Should Have Public Tax Returns [View article]
It's just another sign that the government knows that it is going further broke and needs to extract every penny it can get... I'm not least surprised. The IRS is going harder on American expatriates and non-American residents in foreign countries. They already apply income taxes to Americans and even duel citizens and non-citizens who do not live in America (think Canadians Americans settled in Canada or greencard holders in foreign countries). Obama passed the "jobs" act in 2009 which included a section called "FATCA" that will require foreign governments to report any American or American resident (non-citizens on visa/PR) to the IRS so they can be taxed on any income including inheritence, savings interest etc. Canadians have been outraged with this because there are many canadians who were born to American dads or moms that automatically made them dual citizens. The worst part about this enforcement is that they are applying hefty penalities on taxes that were never paid for income over a person's life. So a canadian american adult who grew up in canada will have to pay unpaid taxes + penalties for all the income he's ever had.

Expect more "fair share" nonsense like this from the government.

  • Senate Slams Apple On Tax Avoidance [View article]
Bain... Apple - same thing when it comes to taxes. Only diifference is that directors at Bain is not hypocritical about efficiently using tax laws. One of the biggest tax proponents is a board director at Apple - Al Gore. He's all about "paying your fairshare" so I'm sure he is very excited about this oppertunity to explain why Apple needs to pay its "fair share" too.

  • Senate Slams Apple On Tax Avoidance [View article]
So its fine for apple to engage in tax avoidance because they are doing it 'in the best interests of share holders' and Romney avoiding taxes legally in the 'best interest of Mitt Romney' is bad... Are you an apple share holder? Does 'david bader' avoid paying taxes legally by claiming deductions in the best interests of 'david based'?.... Go figure.

Give it a break.... You are absolutely no different from mitt Romney or apple board director Al gore who is big into everyone 'paying their fair share'.... The only difference is that mitt Romney is not hypocritical about it.

  • David Trainer's $240 Apple Price Target Analysis Just Doesn't Add Up [View article]
As has been amply demonstrated PE is meaningless for stocks like Amazon, AAPL... price movement seems to be based on sentiment and not fundamentals.

  • Apple (AAPL -2.5%) has dived over the last 30 minutes of trading on heavy volume, without any news to explain the move. The decline comes with the NASDAQ still up 0.5% on the day. [View news story]
I was wondering what happened to "sell in may and go away" and realized today that it only applies to AAPL this year.

  • A Fallen Apple Equals A Gift To Investors Even If Sales And Margins Decline [View article]
    Money invested,

"The fact people keep overlooking, or just don't give enough value to, is the cash Apple has and will continue building"

They already have close to $150,000,000,000. So are shareholders getting any benefit with all that cash? What's the use? A fraction of that cash hoard could be better spent bailing out cyprus and a few other broke EU debt slaves preventing the stock market sliding down. I mean, what else is happening with all that cash? Whatever happened to that buyback promise? I think this stock will go the way of Microsoft, emc and Cisco.

Sorry for all the typos.... Writing this from a nexus 10 which I bought after I returned my iPad 4 because the nexus 10 is slightly better and 20% cheaper than an ipad4

  • Apple Is Being Psychologically Crushed By Samsung [View article]
We'll see if Apple still has the edge on innovation... if the iPhone 5s doesn't come out a couple of features ahead of Samsung S4 after all this money and time, then I guess you can determine that Apple's days of leading innovation is behind them.

  • Tesla: Magnifying Rather Than Quelling Range Anxiety [View article]
Froggy, exactly! Tesla fanboys try to make it sound so good and parrot the same talking points from Tesla but the reality of managing a driive with this car with all its limitations are shared by many users on its forums. The amusing part is when the "save the earth" crowd will bet $55,000 bucks for something like this. Just having it parked somewhere in the northeast from october to April will suck it's battery dry! And you pay $55,000 bucks for this?? The market will eventually weed this overhyped weakling out.

  • The NYT's John Broder takes Tesla's (TSLA) Model S up and down the East Coast from Washington on Interstate 95, where the company has installed Supercharger stations 200 miles apart. Things start dandily enough, but then the weather cools, and Broder has to endure freezing feet and white knuckles because he has to turn the heating off to preserve power. Eventually, he needs a tow truck to pick him up because the car runs out of juice[View news story]
    >>The fun part is every time we stop to charge the car we always end up talking about the car with admirers and the time flies by.

hahaha..that was so funny. They should also put these charging stations close to theme parks, movie theatres, bowling alleys etc so time can really fly while charging your car.

BS. I consulted for the largest pharma company in the industry. They started replacing BlackBerries with iPhones in 2010 and also got iPads for managers. Ditto with the current client I consult with.
