Franky, yes thats right, Apple never listens to people, thats why everyone buys Apple's products and, I think, they are the largest tech company by market capitalization in the world. Yep, that marketing program forcing people to buy terrible products that hardly work.

I surly hope you don't apply that bias to investing. And remember this, leadership is not following. What you want is a follower. A company that follows your ideas and Microsoft's ideas. One that stays locked in the past. Just pop over to Microsoft. They have always been a follower and I'm sure they suit your idea of good.

Re: Samson11: There is never a shortage of people against free speech (you must be very happy with the current administration, as Obama is also against free speech). I say bring on the articles. I would rather have Paulo spewing his rather IMHO ignorant position on Apple than you shutting everyone up. Society does not progress without dialog on both sides of issues.

Certain people call others names. They learned that in high school and never bothered to understand that it was childish. The rest rely on reason and logic. So name calling does not bother me at all. It indicates the nature of the person doing the calling.

And I have one mac laptop that was dropped 9 ft, while running, onto concrete in 2004. It is still working today. No replacements, no repairs, no time in the shop. My wife's, mac laptop was dropped 3 months ago, 4.5 ft while open and running onto a hardwood floor. Still working today, no repairs, no replacements. I can't remember when I last had a failure on a Mac and I use them daily for work and personal and have for 15 years. We have one mac that runs 24x7 running our home.

In addition, I am always doing stuff for neighbors because their PC's won't do something. We have given a number of our older macs to relatives who had troubles with PCs. Every single one of them eventually bought a new mac because they were so trouble free. Including relatives that don't make much over minimum wage.

The Mac is a tool, the PC is a gadget. Successful Mac users have a different mind set than successful PC users.

Paulo, you missed the point completely. The iPad performs exactly the function it was built for. Just not the function you want to use it for. It must be tough in life always wanting to use a screwdriver when a hammer would work better just because you want to.

The point is, to use the right tool for the right job. Just because software tools are flexible, doesn't mean they are right for every job. Same common sense your Grandfather should have taught you.

I write software. I regularly use 4 or 5 different languages. Any one language could accomplish the tasks, but guess what right tool for the right job means recongnizing that different languages are better for different tasks. Same with the iPad. It may not be the right tool to teach your child how to program, but that does not make the product bad and it does not make the manufacturer bad. Teaching that logic to your child is really irresponsible.

You need to become a little less technology aware and just understand that technology is just a tool. If it does not work for you then don't buy it.

Paula, you are entitled to your opinion. We get that you don't like Apple. Its just that your argument is really weak. I want to get in better health, should I blame Ford Motor Co. because they don't provide pedals for my car. That is as ridiculous as your argument.

"They won't allow my favorite app, so I hate them". Wow, really some solid reasoning to teach your children. Lets ignore that Apple products simply work. Oh, BTW there is a reason they simply work. Look a little bit and you might find it.
