My methodology is based on William O'Neil's brilliant book "How to Make Money in Stocks" and I'm constantly searching for super-winning stocks.
I utilize the CANSLIM strategy popularized by O'Neil and I've added minor modifications to suit my needs. The steps in my process are:
1. Screening for candidates
2. Chart Review - looking for favorable chart patterns with stocks above 50 DMA along with huge up-volume spikes that 'launch' stocks and indicate big institutional demand.
3. Product & News Review
4. Decision to Buy or Pass.
5. If decide to Buy then purchase is made and stop-loss formula applied for Risk Management.
6. Sell on high-volume sell ...More signals or other indications the trend is over
I started investing in 1999 and never made much money until the bull market of 2004-2006, when I turned $26K into $1 million (pre-tax). I still make mistakes and win and lose like everyone else, but I'm committed to putting in the time and energy that it takes to be successful in my investing life. Hopefully what I've learned can help in your investing as well.
