Big Lie is correct that bad behavior occurred on wall street, however, this behavior is not the root cause of this crisis. The root cause rests heavily at the feet of congress who made laws requiring banks to loan money for housing to people who could not afford the mortgages. Given this catalyst all manner of bad behavior ensued. The tragedy is that congress believes they can now fix what they broke with more of the same.
