A company that runs tens of thousands on payroll that demands these super bonus payments might be better served if a lot of these would be "working" elsewhere. And distribute a bit of savings to shareholders.

As a well funded retired couple, we have among others BRK shares. Considering the troubles of the biggest insurance company, WEB's collection is far above almost all other companies. And none of the huge pay bonus either!
And that includes the Federal government. My pension is exclusively from almost forty years in this system. We have enough saved over the last five decades to survive if this one fails.
And our house was paid for over twenty years ago.
Plastic debt is aways zero after the monthly payment covers our bills. We won't spend anything on plastic unless we know where the money is to pay at end of billing period.

I'm almost halfway through the bio. of Mr. Buffett. His high school is about 2 miles from the one I went to. He was two years ahead of me. No, it wasn't in Omaha!. His father was congressman for several terms, and in those days one found housing in D.C. for the term. So the whole family moved east while congress was meeting.
A result of these conversions will concentrate voting even more heavily on Buffet's remaining shares. With this flood and reduced price I'l have to think about more shares.
