  • How Obama's 'MyRA' Plan Will Impact The U.S. Economy [View article]
Americans that have retirement accounts are middle-, upper- and high income earners that have high hopes for their future and hoping for a bright future of their families and kids.

But low- to medium- income family are barely surviving on a daily basis. These people can't even afford $1000 a year for retirement. They are so destitute and unsure of their job security that they don't even know if they will survive through 2014/2015.

And let's not forget that low income programs such as MEDICAID, WELFARE and FOODSTAMPS calculates "need" based on the family's available asset, including any retirement accounts, to qualify.

For Obama, he always opens his mouth first, without thinking. Very SAD. Also another reason why his "bright ideas" are usually DUD.

    Hahaha.

Bernanke just wants to give the QE-hot potato to whoever takes over the helm.

After Bernanke leaves, QE-debacle becomes "Not my issue. Not my problem." scenario.

Leave while the going is good, Mr. Bernanke.

May God help the next person taking over.

  • Annaly Has Bottomed: Multiple Reasons To Buy [View article]
I agree that NLY is a horrible company.

"The list of things that Annaly has done in this regard is long. It includes paying seven-figure salaries to relatives of Annaly's executives and board members to run a publicly traded portfolio company that subsequently became embroiled in an ongoing accounting scandal. It includes obfuscating the egregious manner in which its executives are compensated."

  • dELiA*s Is Poised To Triple [View article]
    Another "pump and dump" stock.

From The Street Ratings, (Feb 16, 2014):

    1) "... the net profit margin of -58.64% is significantly below that of the industry average."

    2) total debt of $1.23M on Net Income of $-19.35M. (yes, negative)

    3) DELIAS INC has very weak liquidity. Currently, the Quick Ratio is 0.36 which clearly shows a lack of ability to cover short-term cash needs.

  • AMD Shores Up Balance Sheet Amid Product Leaks [View article]
    @Ashraf:

Your comments against AMD and the author, Tom Luongo, is very demeaning.

However, I suspect that Tom Luongo will respect your opinion and NOT delete your comment -- unlike you who delete comments that disagree with you.

By the way, how is your INTC shares these days. Hahaha!!

  • What Makes BP Compelling Over The Next 5 Years [View article]
To Answer Your Thesis Question: NOTHING makes BP compelling the next 5 years!

"Everyone just wants to get their lives back." -- Especially the dead people, the business that BP destroyed, the dead birds and dead fish.

  • Should You Buy Alcatel-Lucent After Huge Declines? [View article]
you forgot to mention ALU massive €6 billion debt and €800 million debt payment scheduled in 2013. BANKRUPTCY is inevitable.

    ALU will keep dropping because:
    1) lack of product and marketing focus
    2) cost of sales is greater than product cost
    3) incompetent, senile, asleep, unresponsive, idiotic management

ALU will need to do the following to survive:
    1) file for bankruptcy protection to keep existing cash and assets
    2) eliminate products that are not performing (you can't be a mile wide and an inch deep and expect to be successful) and start focusing on market strength
    3) adapt to a lean-and-focused product and marketing life cycle that targets the next generation technology.
    4) lastly, ALU have a number of talented resources -- use them, but eliminate the useless ones.

Sadly, the one thing that ALU management has NOT been able to define is: WHO IS THEIR CUSTOMER?

A CEO must be a strategic leader. In ALU's case, the CEO and his senior management failure to define their market is WHY they failed the company.

The next CEO and senior management should be paid 100% with ALU stocks to encourage performance and meaningful results.

Replace the CEO and senior management. They are causing ALU's problem.

  • Honeywell Dividend Growth To Accelerate [View article]
"Honeywell (HON), which has outperformed General Electric (GE) in recent years"

That would be the understatement of the century!

HON has focused on areas of competency and supports their enterprise with anything it needs to succeed.

GE is NOT focused. NOT defined. And out of control with 18 board members!. GE doesn't even have a single mission statement that defines what they are.

GE takes weeks or months to make a decision because it has to run it up the flagpole. And that flagpole is mighty high and could get stuck somewhere -- and nobody knows.

GE is slow, fat and stupid.

  • Microsoft Office For iPad Is Toxic To Intel [View article]
MS Word, MS-Excel, MS-Visio, MS-Powerpoint, etc has always been available on iPad -- or at least since I've had my iPad in 2012.

Also, MS-Office has been available on Apple-Mac (all families) since the beginning of time. People use PC or Apple because of other reasons other than what Microsoft has to offer, such as work-user, business-user or gaming-user.

Even if Microsoft offered MS-Office products, do Apple users really want to use Microsoft? Most Apple users don't use PC (or Microsoft) because of their intense dislike of Microsoft's buggy products.

Is this author familiar with Apple products and Apple users? I think NOT.

    Hahaha!

  • How You Can Invest Like Warren Buffett [View article]
Mr. Buffett invests in good companies with low debt, great products managed by great managers and employees who possess great leadership capabilities and innovative spirit. period.

Don't over-think it. Another reason why he doesn't invest in GE, GM, F, INTC.

(Note: of course, Berkshire Hathaway Textiles is an exception -- this was a major cluster-F**, per Mr. Buffett)

  • An Onslaught Of High Performance, Low Cost Smartphones Spells Trouble For Apple [View article]
Sorry, but these $25 cheap "smartphones" are butt-ugly.

Should I pay for a $25 dollar cheap phone or a 99 cents for an iPhone 4s?

Last October 2013, I got my first Apple 4s smartphone for 99 cents -- best 99 cents I ever spent (albeit with a 2 year contract from a major US carrier).
