  • If BlackBerry 10 Fails, Can The Company Survive On Services And Software? [View article]
Just read your article, before I read the numerous comments I would like to give you my appreciation. Some of your concerns are perfectly legit and have been discussed many times over the past months. At this point in time the BBRY Q10 has not yet been launched in the US, and you are wondering why you haven't seen any in a human's hand. You are wondering why people are not talking about it around the watercooler, why its not the talk of the party, and so on. Don't you think there are good reasons for this. Are you not expecting an awful lot from BBRY at this stage of the game. Don't you think that IF we were at that stage the shares would be trading a lot higher than 14.50 . There are still issues concerning BBRY, I think most serious investors realize this. But as an investor if we wait until everybody and his hairdresser knows that BBRY is REALLY back, by then my friend, the serious $$$ will have been made by those who had VISION, Cheers!!! PS Now I will go back to see if any other comments are very different than mine.

''The question is not the next 2 quarters but next year'' The bears are running out of reasons to be short BBRY, is this going to be their new mantra? By the end of this year they will probably be saying '' BBRY did well this year but wait for the next year they will be wiped out'' !!!

  • The BlackBerry Playbook Tablet Is A Non-Factor [View article]
That's all the bears can do now. They came out with an issue on Yahoo Canada, about the 255 layoffs that happened July 7, and made it seem to those who don't know better that it happened today. The bears are scraping the bottom of the barrel to try to intimidate longs to sell. Well they sure aren't intimidating me. Peace!!!

Hope he has lined up MANY billions of dollars, because BBRY's true long term value is potentially ENORMOUS. Peace!!!

  • BlackBerry Short Sellers Are Not Out Of The Woods Yet [View article]
Some of your opinions make some sense, but to declare that BB10 is a flop and thereby assume,(state) that BBRY is doomed for ever and ever sounds as intelligent to me as the few who believe the sp is going to 75 or even 40 in short order. I could see one declaring that a newly released movie is a flop even a couple of hours after its release, these things are often self-evident even to the amateur movie-goer. However to make such a statement about a co. such as BBRY seems to be very premature to say the least. You would garner more likes if your opinions were more balanced and reasoned. I'm quite certain that like me the # of likes is of little consequence, but try to be a bit more open-minded. Peace!!!

  • BlackBerry: Strategic Alternatives Signal Failure [View article]
Although I respect your opinion and concede that the going will not by any means be easy for BBRY, I do not share your outlook. BBRY will do fine by itself. It could take longer than most expected but there are just too many positive aspects of the BBRY story to call the undertakers just now. Time is what is needed and BBRY has what it takes to give itself that time. Peace!!!

  • Throwing In The Towel On My BlackBerry Shares - Part 2 [View article]
After all of this I'm heading for bed. It's been an exciting week so far. I don't know what tomorrow will bring. It would be nice to see BBRY take off like a rocketship, but I for one am willing to ride this stock for a long time. I will sleep real well because I know that eventually BBRY will do just fine. I will be picking up more shares as we go along, so if I can get them at a lower price than today's close that would be ok. The new BBRY has a long prosperous road ahead, go along with it and be prosperous too, night ya'll !!!

While I understand what you are saying, don't be sad, be glad that you are given another opportunity to buy a great stock such as BBRY at a price below 11. It has always seemed strange to me to see how easily people can be swayed in situations such as this. We may come to a situation where the sp will suddenly rise by 40% or more because of a catalyst such as a takeover bid, a sale of part(s) or the whole co. Does this alter the positives (too numerous to list here) that we have been hearing about BBRY. I may not be the brightest light in the room, but buying below 11 for BBRY, is a no-brainer. Yes it's just my opinion, but it is at least as good as some of the ''professional'' opinions we get here on a daily basis. Peace!!!

  • Unwinding Crowded BlackBerry Short Trade Can Choke Short Sellers [View article]
I must say that the shorts are getting results with their fear and smear agenda. Doesn't matter to them whether what they say is right or wrong. All they have to do is scare enough longs into selling, and with a little help from their own limited selling, watch the SP go down. This of course will lead to all the stop losses entered into by the WEAK longs being hit and SOLD. While this is going on the convinced longs are buying up more shares at 3%,4%, 5% off, great day for bargains. One thing the bears will not be able to manipulate is the 1st, quarterly results due on the 28th. They of course will spin their reasons why the longs should not rejoice, because it was a fluke, they're making more $$ but they lost 1,2, or more customers, and all sorts of doubtful reasons. I don't know about anyone else but I purchased more at the open, more when the shares were down 4+% . At this point I will wait a while to let things quiet down. I may be buying more, but I certainly will not be selling any for a LONG time. cheers !!!

With all due respect I find it strange that with tens of thousands of shares you find yourself in such a position. Its difficult to give you some sort of advice without knowing a whole lot more about your particular situation. To give you a few of the questions I would have concerning this: how long have you been accumulating shares? did you get in all at once, if so, at what price, etc. you get the picture. You say that as soon as the stock reaches 18$ you will exit. What tells you that it will ever get there? If it gets there don't you think it will go higher, maybe even a lot higher? How much cash do you need? Will you use the proceeds to invest in another one that you believe will do better than BBRY? What if you are wrong and BBRY rises a lot more than you imagine after you have exited? So many questions that one must consider when investing your hard earned$$. I'm sure you know what I think, but your the only person in the end to decide. I hope for your sake that your decision will be the right one!!!

  • BlackBerry (BBRY) has upped its component purchases from Taiwanese suppliers thanks to strong BB10 sales, supply chain sources tell Digitimes. The sources add Indonesian and Middle Eastern sales are healthy, and that if other emerging markets prove strong, BlackBerry is likely to ship 30M-40M smartphones in 2013 - Feb. quarter shipments totaled 6M, and were down 23% Y/Y. BBRY +1% in spite of lower NASDAQ futures. The sell-side has been arguing back and forth over BB10's early reception. [View news story]
Great news, longs are strong, shorts are wrong!!!

  • 2013 "production expectations" for the Z10 (BBRY -1.2%) have been trimmed by 4M-6M units, believes Wedge Partners' Brian Blair, who has been bearish on BlackBerry for years. He adds U.S. Z10 launches " have provided no evidence of meaningful sell-through," and is forecasting <10M 2013 BB10 shipments vs. Street estimates of 20M+. Meanwhile, Pac Crest's James Faucette (previous) believes U.S., U.K., and Canadian Z10 inventories are too high, and that production cuts are a matter of time. Also: BlackBerry says the Q10 is expected to sell for a subsidized $249 in the U.S., $50 more than the 16GB iPhone 5. [View news story]
Just the kind of crap we expect when BBRY rises more than 4-5%. Use this as another chance to pick up one of the year,s best tech. stocks!!!

  • Where Is BlackBerry Heading? [View article]
Take every opportunity to buy the dips.Tomorrow may well give us another chance to buy below 15. If like me you really believe in BBRY its not difficult to do. Such a bargain may not come around again for a long time.I don't think it will take a month to see 20.+, and that is in the short term. For the long term ( 3 to 5 years ) it will be a SUPER investment!!!

  • Morgan Stanley delays upgrade to BB10 [View news story]
MS could lose a lot of clients, absolutely. My take on this is that they will simply continue using their older BBRY phones until they are sure that the company will survive. That shouldn't take very long now. They certainly don't have anything better to go to right now, if ever (next couple of years for sure). As I have said before, BBRY has ALL it takes to not only survive but to regain its former superiority. Time is all that is needed along with an even playing field in the media. Peace!!!

  • Which U.S. Activist Is Best To Make BlackBerry Lemons Into Lemonade? [View article]
You are not alone in this one. A lot of the die-hards are not commenting much these days, can't say I blame them. Personally I remain 100% convinced that BBRY is far from dead. I still believe that time and patience is all that's needed to be a winner in this case. I have been adding to my position, because I can afford it and still believe in BBRY's future. I would not suggest that everybody does the same as I, it's more important to feel good about this investment than to lose sleep over it. If you can put up with the short-term aggravation it will be worth it in the end, and that's what the name of the game is. Peace!!!
