I speak chinese, so let me work on the article, that FredKao posted.

  • Micron: The FUDsters Are Busy Today [View article]
Very good article, always. I am long for MU.
I am not so worry about the recent softness of highend phone, as the mid & low end phone, made in china and sell to emerging market, is picking up. It is the nature of smart phone, regardless of high end or low end, that will use a lot of memories.
But I am a bit worry about:
1, insider sell is getting intensive
2, you say that the Elpida merge will finish by end of July, but I don't see it anywhere. Can you provide where you find it?
Appreciated of your decent study, Allan

  • Intel, Micron And Apple: The Memory Thing [View article]
I remember that Micron hedged the YEN, which attributed a part to last Q's lose. So maybe the devaluation of YEN, doesn't help Micron to reduce the cost.
And do you have any insight of the termination fee if the merge fail? As if the merge fail, Micron may lose a lot of money for the hedge, as they don't need devalued YEN anymore?
    Good article, thanks.

  • Intel's (INTC) unit in Israel doubled its exports to $4.6B in 2012, accounting for 20% of the country's high-tech exports, which would otherwise have fallen 10%. The figures come at a good time for Intel as it contemplates out loud where to develop manufacturing capabilities for its next-generation 10 nm chips - Israeli governments are usually forthcoming with sizable grants when Intel promises to invest billions of dollars. [View news story]
Its good for Israel, not for Intel.
