gosh, there are so many posters confusing the issue,.. gold rises in ANTICIPATION to inflation,.. once inflation begins to rise, base metals and agriculture will be the place to be,.. until that time arrives, gold will outperform for now

I believe the recent spike was mostly technical, having touched a long term support line. As David Fry suggests, watch out for that 22 MA!

thats because there are very few pure play oil companies,.. many have nat.gas. assets as well,.. we'll get a reversal this winter as oil stocks will outperform oil
Ron Paul Rocks! I think he held his own quite well during the primaries, considering even the questions directed at him were branded to mock. In retrospec, he made them all look like fools on the economy.
