  • Optimistic Wells Fargo Estimates from Top Wall Street Analysts [View article]
Will all of the fools that posted on Amit's last blog regarding WFC be convinced by listing other respected analysts with a similar outlook?
No...absolutely not. After all, they are fools!

Whatever one might think of his analysis of WFC, which in my book is rock solid, his assessment that this Board is populated with many fools cannot possibly be in dispute.

  • Wells Fargo Thinks It Doesn't Have to Reserve Against Bad Loans  [View article]
Allowing "analysts" like Washington to blog on "SA" brings the usefulness of this site down to new levels of irrelevancy. And Gary's persistent nonsense just adds to the level of misinformation. Some of us are able to see the forest, even in the midst of the trees, however, most don't have a clue. There is a reason that most individuals never attain a level of financial security. One need read no further than many of the posts on "SA" over the past 8 months to understand why that is the case.

  • Wells Fargo, JPMorgan and Bank of America: Stock Prices Can Double [View article]
As I have stated before, Amit is about the only analyst at "SA" that understands the story of the big banks. My award for most worthless post on this article goes to Harry Tuttle. The old axiom "it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt", has never rang more true than when this knucklehead posts. And, he has done it an agonizing 491 times!

  • Bank Dilution Looms for 2010 [View article]
bbro is correct and his info is more informative than Mr. Kabourek's lumping of the major issuers together. NO WAY will WFC dilute shareholders further. Take that to the bank! At least the article states he is not short the majors.

  • Why Warren Buffett Loves Wells Fargo [View article]
Amit Shah is the only analyst that contributes to "SA" that understands the Wells Fargo story. Since March of this year, when the world as we know it was seemingly about to come to an end, there has been a steady stream of bearishness regarding WFC appearing as "analysis" here at "Seeking Alpha". When a stock nearly quadruples in 8 months, it is just about time for those of us that were buying and holding during the darkest hours to collectively let out a hearty guffaw at all of the naysayers, especially the ubiquitous Meredith Whitney and the apparently severely IQ impaired Dick Bove. Continue to peddle bearish crap regarding "Uncle Wells" and "Uncle Fargo" at your own peril nay-sayers. Those of us that believe in building wealth as opposed to destroying it, will be laughing all the way to the bank, our local Wells Fargo Branch Office that is.

  • Why Wells Fargo Is a Great Buy [View article]
Finally an analyst that gets it. Read all of my blogs on Wells Fargo and just like Amit Shah is doing now, I have been pounding the table for WFC, even back in March when the way forward was not nearly as clear cut.

  • Wells Fargo Is Doing Worse than It Seems [View article]
Follow Reggie and die a pauper. What has Reggie told us? Has Reggie told us that WFC would shake off the attack by the Bears and climb from 8 and change to over 30 since March? Has Reggie informed us that WFC will soon get the Government out of its boxer shorts and pay back all 25 billion dollars of TARP money that Dick Kovacevich never wanted in the first place? Has Reggie clued in his "audience" that WFC has not converted Treasury held preferred stock to equity and along with a public stock offering has grown itself into meeting the requirements of Tiny Tim's "asinine" stress test? Has Reggie mentioned that the synergies of Legacy Wells Fargo and Legacy Wachovia have already begun making hefty contributions to the bottom line? Nope, Ol' Reg has been mum! WFC will hit 60 in less than two years. At 30 bucks buy all you can. Let's make a Paypal bet Reggie. You willing to put your own dough where your mouth is?

  • Wells Fargo Plastic: Protecting Its Consumers or Its Stockholders? [View article]
More clueless commentary courtesy of "Seeking Alpha" How familiar is this clown Papadimitriou with WFC? He's not!. So why the drivel disguised as learned punditry. As a long time shareholder of one of the best, if not the best managed (Kovacevich and Stumpf) banks in the country, I have no problem whatsoever with Wells' credit card strategy. Snip from the sidelines all you want pal, us shareholders grow rich as you attempt to hone your "reporting" skills.

  • Earnings Preview: Wells Fargo [View article]
When John Stumpf is observed entering his low key limo smiling from ear to ear as he greets "team members" mere days before earnings announcement, one can only draw the conclusion that all is well at Wells. Once John gets Uncle Sam out of Wells Fargo's boxer shorts, look for a resumption of the generous dividend and a target price of....of.....won't say it......let's just say buy all the WFC at 31 as one can.

This is a real tough one so let me cogitate for just a moment. It is UBS and the ubiquitous media darling Meredith Whitney who, unlike a broken clock, has only been right once, against the analyst at GS. Real tough call sports fans. Bet the frickin' farm on WFC! Those of you that heed my advice can send my cut via Paypal.

  • Capital Constrained: Some Banks Not Paying TARP Dividends [View article]
Hey Ed.....did you ever think of listing the banks that are not paying the TARP dividend? Might this be useful info? Just another example of the shoddy work of the press.

  • Is Wells Fargo Regretting Its Wachovia Acquisition? [View article]
Apparently so Big Jack. Felix believes the picture is clear, but it is the very opaqueness of the model which has kept the share price as low as it still is. CEO John Stumpf announced to Barron's that Wells will repay the TARP shortly without diluting shareholder value. Does that sound like an announcement from a bank in trouble? Who ya gonna believe, industry leader John Stumpf or poor little bear Felix? The Bears are making a concerted effort again on the financials. Time will tell how much of an effect it will have this time around.

  • Is Wells Fargo Regretting Its Wachovia Acquisition? [View article]
Poor little Felix, thinking that his drivel might have even the smallest bearish influence on WFC. His headline is ludicrous. The acquistion of Wachovia has already begun to pay off, look at last quarter's earnings report. The idea that Dick Kovacevich, one of the very best bankers in the business would make a "panicked and unwise acquisition" is absurd, since he had been eyeballing Wachovia for quite some time. Keep in mind that WFC received a special tax-ruling, known in some circles as the WFC Ruling, whereby WFC received a 25 billion dollar tax break to assist in the Wachovia takeover. WFC was screwed by Geitnher and his army of regulators not understanding the WFC business model which led to a demand by the Treasury that Wells raise more cash, otherwise known as the results of the so called "Stress Test". This is what has prevented WFC, up to this point, from paying back the TARP injection that Mr. Kovacevich vehemently objected to in the first place. Silly little bears, they just love to hate WFC. Little Felix and his ilk will hate WFC even more as it climbs the wall of worry up to 60 in the next couple of years.
