I have been selling these things for a couple months now. Just do the math on these leveraged products. With the Vix bouncing around 20, it will just eat away at TVIX / UVXY. Solution = short these bad boys on bounces.
Back in the fall, I thought I was getting into something like TZA. Figured out what it was and laughed that I wasn't shorting since December. UVXY is now picking up almost all of TVIX's volume.
