Another slightly interesting tid bit concerning Samsung and Apple: They seem to firewalled at the consumer level.
Not wanting to spring for an iPhone, but badly needing a new cell phone, I've been investigating the various Samsung phone offerings and only two of them, not available through my carrier of course, are sync-able via iSync on OSX. So, somehow Samsung makes parts for the iPhone and Apple buys their chips, but they aren't aggressive about making their products work together.
I'm sure I can find a hack until iSync gets updated in the late summer or fall, but still, it's evidence that they aren't totally in bed with each other. For whatever that's worth...
