Apple Calls NBC's Digital Download Bluff

Add to this Comcast's blocking of BitTorrent uploads, which effectively kills BitTorrent since you have to maintain a certain upload/download ratio to make it worth it. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't an agreement between the networks, or at least NBC, and Comcast to slow down the pirating and put the content up front. Sadly, while all of us need the water, none of us owns the plumbing.

iTunes Showdown: Apple vs. Content Owners

Critics hate it but iTunes is where it's at. It's the one channel we can all agree to watch. Until Universal and NBC can develop the OS, the hardware, the player and the database tool they'll just be one more digital content provider on the web.
