Well, you have a point. But at least he's not suing at the moment.

What evidence is there that Apple is complacent? I don't think the design team is hanging out on the front lawn, drinking beer and playing bocce.

Patience, longs. David Einhorn likes the dividend and buyback, and he's in a lot deeper than any of us.

  • Tim Cook: The (Negative) $250,000,000,000 Man [View article]
If you don't like Tim Cook's performance, quit writing SA comments and start writing texts, emails, tweets whatever to Arthur Levinson, Al Gore and the rest of the Apple board. This is all such wasted energy.

  • Tim Cook: The (Negative) $250,000,000,000 Man [View article]
Why does no one, in the financial press or here on Seeking Alpha ever fault the Apple board of directors? Tim Cook runs the company, but the board is supposed to be the ultimate guardian of shareholder interests. Why don't we hear from chairman Arthur Levinson, or Al Gore or any of the other high profile directors. What the heck are they doing to address dividend policy, stock buy backs and the like. It wouldn't hurt to have them either publicly support or get rid of Tim Cook, because that is one of their most important responsibilities.

  • Apple $395: Time To Give Up And Abandon Ship? [View article]
Unless they report that they blew $100 billion in Vegas last weekend, I'm in for the long haul.

So much vitriol is directed at Tim Cook, rightly or wrongly. But it is important to remember that it is the board of directors that is ultimately charged with the hiring and firing of ceos. I read a lot of articles on Apple and I don't recall any of them saying anything about the board's role.

This is a Warren Buffett moment for longs and would be buyers. Don't get shaken by all the trash talk and noise.

At this valuation I'd put my grandma's money in it. Bought more today.

  • Apple: Probably Going To Remain Painful For The Average Investor [View article]
Apple is looking like a potential safe harbor at this point. Sure, it can still go lower, how likely is that? I'd be a lot more nervous about companies like AMZN and GOOG at this time - and they don't pay dividends. GOOG, for example, has been going down for five weeks now - despite the fair-haired child status it has garnered during Apple's slide.

  • Apple Slim Down, Buy When There's Blood In The Streets [View article]
If I were an Apple competitor I'd be a little nervous right now, because it's been way too quiet in Cupertino for a while. And I don't think that's because they've run out of products or ideas. "Blood in the streets"? The question is, whose blood?
