I have worked in higher education for the past 30 years. After leaving my retirement portfolio in the hands of TIAA-CREF for years, with mixed results at best, I decided last year to roll those funds into an IRA account. Thanks to the people on Seeking Alpha and the many other great resources at my brokerage and elsewhere, it's going very well.
