I love small-cap value (and some micro-cap) with heavy insider ownership (substantial insider BUYS - if they can figure out a better way to invest their cash than in their own company, so should I.) and a history of taking care of shareholders. No insider pump and dumps (insider buys of 5 shares and other such silliness.)

Recently allocating plenty to bond funds and cash and appreciating the advantages of tax-advantaged accounts.

I prefer my own picks and cash to than an arbitrary slice of the 500 biggest U.S. companies or some underperforming institutional sampling of the same.
