Cap-and-trade might well be worth it in the long run if the rest of the world signs on NOT It soves a problem that does not exist and if it did CO2 would not be the mechanism that would effect any change in the climate.
What we need to clean up our planet is to get the BS out of the Halls of Power!

You mean US entitities do not hold any US government debt. I am sure the aggregate held by US taxpayers might be the largest. Your headline does not carry the word Foreign.
The Texas 'Wind' Emergency, the Smart Grid and the Dumb Grid [View article]
Sir: How do you propose that we deal with Ohms Law? There is a limit to grid transmission buildout.
Why didn't the folks in TX heed the weatherman? I guess for the same reason that they shouldn't rely on "wind-power" The weather is very unreliable and unpredictable save disaster sized events. Windmill operators still have no idea what their offline idling capacity is when asked to estimate same by grid authorities.
I guess we really need someone who can control the weather to take over this "subsidized" into existence form of power generation. Calling Al Gore!
Keep up the great work Pruf. As an owner of RMBS since the late 90's I am glad to see that the story is being presented in its unvarnished truth in a concise fashion. Of course the RMBS PR and IR department should be doing this but although RMBS has great supra-world class engineering talent they are woefully lacking in the executive branch.

Once again Pruf thanks and keep the truth flowing!
Prufrock continues to articulate the RMBS saga in clear and concise terms. RMBS must prevail here or the US has no future chance of exporting its ideas in the information age. RMBS's innovation in memory communication is enormous in its power and its efficiency and therefore is disruptive and groundbreaking. RMBS essentially unlocked the bottleneck that heretofore existed between dynamic memory and cpu improving computer performance tenfold and for that they have been brutalized for over 10 years. As they say no good deed goes unpunished. Let us hope that this story ends in a court decision that restores justice to the IP model.
Not since the RC timer as applied to the intermittent windshield wiper has a a small inventor been so abused by the cartel-like behavior of certain manufacturers working in concert to crush the inventor and thereby steal the invention and its imbedded IP.
Great article. Easy to understand summation of the FACTS surrounding the RMBS saga. We live in an information age wherein the US is the wellspring of most scientific innovation but we allow all too many corporations foreign and domestic, "free license" to drink from this well. It is about time the US got tough with this theft of our most precious national resource, that being the best ideas of this information age.
