      I loved your comment on the 20mpg hybrid! Shear marketing genius. And why are so many cars being promoted by how much horsepower they have? Is it because they can't say anything about thier fuel economy? The auto companies would be well served to join the rest of here in reality.

      Brother, Who Can Spare Another Dime for Oil?
      Phillip, I beleive the point your trying to make is that this just can't continue and I agree totally. The powers that are responsible for the price of oil and gasoline are watching the situation very closely and will (are) push(ing) the economy just short of the brink in order to get the last dollar out of the consumer.

      American Axle Strike: Unions Continue to Kill U.S. Manufacturing
      Wouldn't it be nice to see the US become competitive again? Its not the wages of the blue collar workers so much as the cost for health care and retirement. Do you think maybe the government should do something? Do you think people should the stand by and watch as thier standard of living is erroded? It sounds like many other people in addition to yourself need to look out the windows of thier fancy offices or Mercedes' and see what is happening to the people instead of only listening to the spin the overpaid executives would like us to beleive.

      Exxon's 2007 Tax Bill: $30 Billion
      Just think if XOM's taxable income was in line with the rest of the tax paying public we could totally eliminate taxes for the "lower 50%" and make a step toward leveling the income tax playing field.

      Can Environmentalism Be Compatible with Capitalism?
      This article provides an excellent perspective on the problem. We all need to accept the fact that there is a limit. Global warming and energy shotages are just early signs. Isn't anyone concerned about the future of our children and grandchildren?
