  • Hewlett-Packard: Not Just Another Computer Company [View article]
HP sure met its numbers! Boy but at what cost to its employees morale! All that Mark did was to cut off salary and fire people. There was no such things as increase customer buying on its products nor services nor any innovative product that people or companies will rush to buy. What he did was to squeeze the blood out of its employees. He has a company that has a morale issue never before has been encountered in HP's history.

A company with low morale won't be the next big thing when the economy picks up. It will start losing its best people to other companies. All he do is pack up his bag and move on the next company to start the whole blood letting process again and leave an empty shell. Meanwhile hes dreaming on how many tens of millions of dollars the HP board will give him this year for a job well done..indeed!

  • 3 Reasons to Consider Hewlett-Packard Now [View article]
Before you predict HP is going anywhere, get a feel of what the employees are feeling these days. HP is but an empty shell when the economy picks up. Right now the its like a carriage being drawn by starving horses where master whipper Hurd keeps whipping till they fall one by one. Starving horse pulling a carriage full of executives with pockets full of gold and who failed to sell some of their gold to feed the hungry horses.

Demoralized employees = low sales = poor service = no innovation = a company that has lost its shine.. i should have sold all my shares when it was still high. Its time to cut losses

  • 10 Dangerous Stocks to Avoid [View article]
You should look out for HPQ there is widespread demoralization in its staff due to Mark Hurd relentless cost cutting without good example from the top.

Look for Damian Saunders' blog (damiansaunders.net) and you can get a feel of how the employees feel. HP will stumble when the economy picks when its best employees start a bee line to other companies.

HP will become a shell devoid of talents in the upcoming future just when it needs its staff to give it the pull in the next bull run....

  • Cisco's Unified Computing Center: Winners and Losers [View article]
Does Cisco have onsite support services to support their equipment? The answer is no. To build one will take enormous effort as Cisco relies on partners to do the onsite support of their switches and these are companies like HP and IBM who provides most of their muscle outside of the USA.
Cisco will attract customers like the ISPs or for non-critical apps but most likely not the enterprise customers who run mission critical apps.
