Andy, any updates? have you gotten more bullish yet? The street is on the verge of valueing AAPL based on FCF and non-gaap by the end of 3rd CQ which started today, this and new iPhones selling much better than expected and the Macs making a strong comeback, and new iPods and Tablet on the way,could lead to explosive upside. Apple is the new tech and the market leader again.

B.S.. You were all over the Yahoo message boards in Jan saying AAPL will NEVER trade over 100 in 2009, some people bet u to disappear once it does and you still said it won't trade over it...so please GET LOST in wilderness next week when we pass 100 !!! Thank You!!

also, don't come back in June when AAPL 50 day crosses the 200 day MA above 130 and tell us that signals a big move ahead of 50% to 180, I already know that myself !!

How the iPhone and Poor Management Contribute to Apple's Downfall

all you guys bashing on Andy dont understand his point, we all know this is the law and AAPL HAD to do it to follow the law, what Andy is saying is why doesn't AAPL start charging .99 for the upgrade through App Store or iTunes (we only get 1-2 upgrade a year anyways) and this will allow them to recognize the iPhone revenue as they occur, if they start doing this tomorrow, we will still have the previous deferred revenue that will still be reported in the next 2 years AND we will have EXPLOSIVE growth in earnings this year from the new sales...think about it guys...iPhone growth has just started, if you believe Munster's prediction of 45 million units sold in 09 , that woudl make EPS north of $8, not the $5 street expects..heck, even if they sell 30M iPhones it'll be over $7 EPS, slap a 35 multiple on it and it will be above 200, yes in this recession !! so, stop being blindsided and think thhis is good long term, if they do what I said above, it will be win-win short and long term.

Andy , great work ! How can we get the analyst or the company to start valuating this company the right way ? Can you contact Gene Munster and point this out ? Can you email Apple and ask them to stop the subscription acounting ? Can we contact SEC and ask them to remove this subscription accounting requirement ? Enough is enough!! Let's all start a campaign and see if we can get them to change this , or at least have the analysts issue their estimates based on this !
Normally analysts value a company using non-gaap earnings (look at chipmakers like brcm ) to account for stock options , this shows a higher value for the company , but in our case it's devaluating Apple by almost 50%! why can't we start using non-gaap for Apple too ? This is so unfair !
