Collusion or treachery among large institutional stockholders can drive AAPL prices up or down fairly quickly. It's nice that there are TA and "market reaction to economic news" claims out there to help obscure their activities.

Sony should be excited about lithium-polymer batteries, given the overheating and mischarging disasters that their subcontractors perpetrated on a lot of people with the previous generation of lithium-ion batteries! It's good news that Apple now has in-house people to work on battery design rather than relying on Sony and others for that work. Zinc-silver technology sounds interesting, but I doubt that it has been deployed long enough in computer power applications for major companies, even Apple, to take the risk involved in large-scale manufacture and sale of new batteries.

So was it the credit spreads that said it was OK to lend under subprime mortgages without asking questions about personal income statements, etc? Or was it the credit spreads that said it was OK to take these loans off of bank balance sheets?
