    • Sir. Monaco: he has a vision of rainbows everywhere, and I won't be hurt by it, getting our of all my oil stocks, $XOM oil comoddities,

    • Sir. Monaco: and nat $UNG gas commodities, - winner will be wind farms and elon musk's solar city....

    • Sir. Monaco: basically, Obama is going into the energy business!!! and that means using public lands for wind and solar!!!
      6/25/13
    • Sir. Monaco: "Obama will also direct the Interior Department to permit new wind, solar, and other renewable energy projects on public lands, enough to

    • Sir. Monaco: power more than 6 million homes by 2020."

    • Energysystems: renewables already get huge incentives, well over 1,000:1 on a per kWh basis. But these projects will be money pits and run like Amtrak.
      6/25/13
    • Sir. Monaco: it does not matter how we feel, they make the rules and this admin and epa is building a solar powerhouse and wind gigantic like no other,
      6/25/13
    • Sir. Monaco: as invstr we make decisions to not lose money when G-men start building massive solar farms AND require all utility companies to do the same
      6/25/13
    • Energysystems: While making money is what it's all about, I'm proud to not have to suckle the public teat to do so. Investors need to check the gov'ts---
      6/25/13
    • Energysystems: track record in such "investments".
      6/25/13
    • techwonk: Infrastructure costs are typically money pits...think BART, highway system. But necessary. States incapable of coordinating big projects,
      6/25/13
    • techwonk: herd of cats. Central gov't inefficient but the only alternative. With that said...I haven't noticed economics is Obama's strongest card
      6/25/13
    • Sir. Monaco: techwrk , fully agree on your last point, but he's spending tens of billions on this and so businesses will act and react,
      6/25/13
    • Sir. Monaco: - just got to make sure your an early mover...regardless of how you feel about it personally...
      6/25/13
    • techwonk: Seen it from both sides. You know those annual jokey awards for gov't supply chain- $1000 paper clips, etc? Expect more of that
      6/25/13
    • techwonk: Pick your companies carefully - where there's a gravy train, all the mutts start showing up
      6/25/13
    • Sir. Monaco: we agree ii's sickening, $1,000 paperclips, etc..- biggest winner will be GE the last few years constructed one of the largest solar plants
