Good article. Points out another means of finding out if one has HIV or not. It is competition, yes. However, the article failed to emphasize that the Orasure test is a non-invasive easy test that uses only ones saliva to get the results. One can do this test on his own in the strict privacy of his home. Whereas Chembio's needs a blood sample that nurse or med-tech has to draw from the patient or the patient can prick himself (article does not mention how much blood needs to be drawn from the patient). If a nurse in a clinic is required to draw blood, higher expense and loss of privacy comes into play and patients will be reluctant to use it.
