I've spent considerable time working for a registered independent advisor, doing work such as structuring client accounts, researching stocks/bonds, and performing due diligence on external managers. My career shifted when I took a role at a major investment bank, where I've supported the front office in mortgage-backed securities and derivatives. I now work in an oversight and risk capacity, identifying areas of risk and control weakness when it comes to regulatory compliance. As for trading style, I lean towards small/mid-cap companies, as I believe they have the potential for greater risk-adjusted returns. I'm firmly contrarian, and look to buy out-of-favor equities that have an opportunity to revalue upwards in the medium term.
Fredrik Arnold is my pen name. In 2012 I retired from doing quality service analysis for John Hancock Long Term Care Insurance in Boston then moved to North Carolina in 2013. My fascination with capital preservation, fixed fractional trading, and trading systems keeps me blogging for Seeking Alpha. Most of my articles focus on dividend yields and analyst mean 1 yr targets as stock trading indicators. These are essential tools for catching the most valuable dividend dogs.

My purpose is to purchase great companies at great value. My goal is to assemble a portfolio of dividend growth stocks that will continue to pay and increase their dividends annually in order to achieve my goal of financial independence. Financial independence for me is to have my dividends cover my living expenses come retirement (or sooner would be better!).
I have called my portfolio the Accelerating Dividends Portfolio. My portfolio consists of the following stocks right now:
Core: HAS, OHI, SBUX, CAH
Supportive: LYB, EXR, WYN, ABBV
Speculative: TGT, T
I am still working on my investment plan and when it is ready I will share it with you.
As for myself, I am a part-time, self-educated investor who works a full-time day job as a criminal intelligence analyst. I bring my thought process from my job with me to much of my daily life. I like to ask questions, particularly some that are hard and not really talked about. I like to find data and do analyses in order to support or refute my ideas and answer my questions.
I came across the dividend growth investing model when I was searching for a better way to invest my money. I love and advocate the dividend growth investment model because it has touched me the most and helps me to sleep well at night.
I have been enthralled over the last few years with finances (if I could change careers, I would move to financial advising in order to pursue this interest full-time). This interest has stirred within me a great desire to learn and although there is always more to learn, I continue to enjoy the challenge of acquiring more knowledge and experience. I enjoy applying what I have learned particularly in my writing here on Seeking Alpha. I also apply many of my analytic skills and thinking to my articles in order to stimulate discussion to get many points of view. This helps me enhance my own opinion, perspective, and thought process. I hope that what I share will be of worth to the Seeking Alpha community.
I hope you will follow me along this journey towards financial independence and accelerating dividends!

My background is in Sociology, I have redirected my focus to economics and finance. I followed conventional wisdom led by Gurus and professionals that made their living off of selling advice. After being completely wiped out, and realizing family is the most important aspect of life. I'm using my background to build wealth over the long term.
I want to help others with low income and the working class to realize wealth is not an overnight phenomenon, but takes time and patience. That even a small amount of money invested today in stable companies that are the foundations of our society can grow over time. That wealth is not something exclusive to a select few; but a goal anyone can achieve, ultimately shaping their legacy.

Peter Way Associates is the only known provider of the price range forecasts of widely-held, actively traded stocks derived from the hedging activities of market-making [MM] firms as they balance big-$-fund sellers and buyers in large block trades. The price ranges offer explicit downside exposure forecasts not commonly found in publicly published investment analyses.
This is all forward-looking data, based on what the MMs will pay for protection against coming unwanted price change while temporarily committed firm capital is exposed to market risks. It is available by modest subscription cost at blockdesk.com.
The behavioral analysis involved has been performed daily since Y2K, now on over 3,000 stocks, ETFs, and market indexes. That has built an actuarial history of how market prices have subsequently behaved following several million price range forecasts, issue by issue.
That data provides a qualitative backdrop to current forecasts in terms of odds of profitable positions, size of prospective gains, credibility of forecasts, and worst-case price drawdown exposure experiences.
Peter F. Way is a veteran Chartered Financial Analyst, having taken and passed the CFA Institute’s required 3 examinations in the first years they were given, 40+ years ago.
Armed with BS in Economics from the Wharton School and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, he has managed staffs of dozens of Investment Researchers and Quantitative Analysts for the nation’s largest bank, arbitraged index options for NYSE Specialists, and managed portfolios of hundred-million-dollar equity investments for Fortune 100 corporate pension funds and non-profit endowments.
He has been elected President of professional Investment Analyst Societies in San Diego and New York City and has served on the editorial boards of the Financial Analysts Journal and the CFA Digest. He has spoken at numerous schools and professional meetings.
