Denny started in investing in equities in high school and started investing in commodities in 2005, after reading 'Hot Commodities'. After a few years in consulting in the retail, transportation, and communications industries he studied business at Columbia University where he was influenced by the writings of Graham and Dodd. He took investing classes taught by Bruce Greenwald, Michael Mauboussin, Micheal Corasaniti and James English. He worked as a buy side analyst for Oppenheimer Capital in 2006 and spent 2007 - 2009 doing both sell side and buy side equity research at Gabelli & Company. At Gabelli, he covered infrastructure companies with a focus on Road, Rail, and Transit infrastructure. In commodities Denny has focused on Sugar, Cotton, Cattle, and Silver.
