EDA Industry Update

I agree with most of you analysis of the big four EDA public companies.

Joe Costello is highly unlikely to return to EDA for several reasons:

1) He left Cadence on a high note, why return now?
2) He has been there, done that.
3) EDA is still four dogs eating out of the same dish, not a pretty sight.

When speaking about EDA I think we often forget two other software players that also serve this segment: Ansys and MathWorks.

Although MathWorks is a private company I believe that they sell more EDA software than Magma does, especially in the ESL space.

Ansys serves the EDA space and their stock is defying gravity at the moment.
