I buy aapl almost every day. Just paid 614.10.
Let's see a year from now.
I don't care what happens in between.

I don't agree with your admiration of MB.
I know he is intelligent and precise with his graphs and figures.
All the more reason he should not be on Alpha.
There must be those who take Michael Blair's advice as Gospel.
This probably resulted in readers going short as Blair did.
How many investors, in spite of warnings, couldn't afford the loss?
I know several who decided not to buy Apple stock.
    That's one thing.
But to say "go short" means total loss if the shares don't go down!
    Total loss.

  • Apple Buying Beats May Have A Strong Risk/Reward Profile [View article]
Headphones are not solely music. They represent a new entry into the ecosystem directly into the ear. We have only the eyes and the ears.

Bears are attractive streamlined, colorful and cool. Eventually the apple trademark on ears will advertise itself on the streets of the world.

The big issue for all of us is: How to reduce the money and time wasted on these lawsuits. Americans need affordable care; and it won't be possible as long as lawyers, bankers, insurance, and hospital corporations all have a slice of the pie.

  • Apple: Very Strong Demand For Mac Pro 2014 [View article]
You have a choice: a poor available product, or one which is in short supply because everyone wants it. You can't have it both ways.

"Steve Jobs would have thrown a tantrum...". Yes, that's why Cook is doing better
than Jobs would have done. Tantrums are no way to run a company. Cook's quiet confidence is my idea of how to run a tech company.

  • Microsoft Just Killed Itself, Apple Wins Again [View article]
Author expresses the notion that Apple wants to see the price of its stock rise.
Why would Cook want to have to buyback at a higher price?

Apple has committed billions of dollars to acquire stock, and surely they want to pay less rather than more.

The rest of the story makes good sense.

  • Apple Significantly Undervalued Compared To Google [View article]
Apple is as good as gold. Literally. Monday when the market hit the biggest drop of the year on the Ukraine grab; two major investments rose: GOLD and APPLE.

When investors panic, they buy Apple.

With a 100% upside possibility. And dividends !

Tim Cook is doing a fine job.

Whatever he decides...he is in the driver's seat.

We should also consider a ten for one stock split.

No financial change, but bullish; and opens up aapl for many more stockholders.

  • Apple's Missteps Could Be BlackBerry's Turnaround [View article]
This isn't about Canada. Everyone loves Canada.

It's about Apple. Apple has the latest stuff, and has a technical team that can fix any glitch in a matter of hours.

I'm sure the USAF agonized over the decision to switch from BBRY to AAPL.

  • An Onslaught Of High Performance, Low Cost Smartphones Spells Trouble For Apple [View article]
I am in favor of buybacks if that is the decision of management.
Management knows so much more than we.
They have to be secretive because thieves are everywhere: Google, Samsung, etc.

    What ever happened to patience?
When Tim Cook comes out with a new product, it will be when it's ready.
For example: the 5c is a beautiful product. It's competing with the 5s.

  • Apple's Valuation: Thoughts On Price And Value [View article]
So many of you give advice to Tim Cook on how to boost the stock.
What makes you think that this is his goal?
If he were an advertising agency CEO, that is what he'd be doing.
On the other hand he runs the most successful company in human history.
Who are WE to tell him our puny ideas?
Just fasten your seat belts and hang on for the ride.

Yesterday's well-orchestrated security "compromise" dropped the stock, and I got a good buy. Now, the alert is over and it's all been fixed. What next ? Mr. Blair.

  • Why Apple's Valuation Is Irrelevant [View article]
At the risk of being "tiresome", I don't think comparing APPLE with lululemon adds much to our information.

There are two very different APPLES: One is the company, and One is the current stock price of aapl.

I am satisfied that APPLE under Tim Cook is continuing its run of putting out amazing products when they are tested as being high quality and priced for good profit. What pleases me is that Apple has won the basic intellectual property lawsuits, and that those who stole the property are stalling the inevitable take-down. What I watch for is the continuing buyback of significant blocks of stock.

I look forward to the day when, after many more buybacks at these P/Es, I will be one of the few owners of APPLE.

  • Apple's Prognosis: Range-Bound [View article]

There is no better investment than a long term investment.

There is no better long term investment than Apple.

At this price level, those who know the most about Apple are its own management.

They are putting tens of billions into buying Apple stock...AT THESE PRICES !

Apple stockholders should appreciate this strategic fact, and not care about price.

When Cook is good and ready, new fully tested products will be released.

Restraint and patience will be rewarded.

I have been investing for over 70 years now, and I have never seen a value like this.
