  • Apple Earnings Preview: 15% Forward EPS/Revenue Growth Probably As Good As It Gets [View article]
You have given no weight to the future growth as a result of China Mobil.

I believe Xmas iPad sales will surprise analysts.

I have changed my mind re Icahn. I think he's right about buyback. The stock is undervalued against every first rate stock on the market. As soon as the figures are out Monday, Apple will be free to buy.

  • Apple Earnings Preview: What A Difference A Year Makes [View article]
The iPad sales may surprise everyone. This is going to be a permanent product.

Xmas I got one for my 2 yr old grandson, and he loves it and is learning to read. That is most unusual for that age, but I hear from friends they had identical experiences. That will be just the same as learning a foreign language at that age.

As an investor, every time the stock drops 5 points, I buy. It's only a matter of time until the fast money switches to buy.

  • Divergent Views On Apple Emerge For 2014 [View article]
Apple is not competing with itself.
    All their products make money.

Where do you all get your Samsung figures? Real figures.

  • BlackBerry Set To Plummet [View article]
Having read all this, I can understand that those long and short BBRY are deeply interested; but as an independent investor I see no reason whatsoever to get into this stock either way.

There are profitable companies with a good history, especially those in the highly innovative tech field. This is like a poker game, the guy with the most money, with a winning streak rules the game.

Why risk your money, long or short, in a real gamble?

  • 3 Big Things To Expect From Apple In 2014 [View article]
...because splits don't have any effect on the company. There is a perceived club of high priced stocks. Also, Apple doesn't want to be seen as doing something solely to boost the stock.

On the other hand, I think a ten for one split would be a democratic thing to do. People who want to be part of the company would have a chance to participate, and they would be consumer boosters of Apple.

Long term investors do not care as much for the stock price as they care about the company itself.

Icahn does nothing for or against the company. Cook is obviously committed to the future of Apple.

I own Apple stock (and buy almost every day) because I can find no better investment.

  • Smartphone Subsidies May End; Apple Might Suffer Withdrawal Symptoms [View article]
Friday will be interesting. Does the usual managed Friday drop bring us to $540; or does Cramer's powerful advice to "buy" overcome the manipulators.
I'm a buyer every day, averaging.
If there never were a China Mobil, Apple would continue it's profits.
I see that the new Apple desk tops have already sold out with no advertising !
Christmas iPad sales are, reportedly, massive.
    I'll go with Cramer.

  • Apple Investors Should Temper Their Expectations [View article]
    Thoughts:

    1. Where are the chartists? What is the indication of the Apple "moving average" ?

    2. Do you really think there will be a taper ? The Fed is afraid to set off a domino effect.

    3. I think Warren Buffett will buy Apple this quarter. The value now meets his requirements.

  • Maybe It Is A Manipulated Stock, So What? I'm Overweight Apple For 2014. [View article]
Well, here's a scenario. Just a "for instance". I have no evidence, except for so many past swindles, some of which were finally exposed.

    Hypothetically:

Traders for big banks or brokers utilize discretionary money to manipulate Apple stock to satisfy options which are traded in other names.

That's not complicated. Look up the Rochdale Securities swindle. They utilized big name dealers who have been protected, even after one of the perpetrators was imprisoned.

Good points. Nevertheless, you should study the number of negative analyses which coordinated with short sellers. (Which caused what?) And the rumors turned out to be unsupported.

Study the Rochdale swindle and the announcement by the US Attorney, which doesn't reveal who the real crooks were. That was clear manipulation of Apple stock.

    Who wins ?

Go to the racetrack and buy a ticket on every horse. You won't get your money back. Same at roulette: if you put a chip on every number including zero. You lose !

I can't understand why anyone would play the options market unless they had secret information, or caused a rumor to be circulated via "analysts" (both of which are illegal).

If it can go to 635, it can go to 790, what's the difference ?

The mere fact that America's "sheep", the traders, can't see the most valuable stock on the market, tells you they are capable of the most insane stupidity.

The company is worth twice what it was 13 months ago (approx.) when it hit 700.

(When they announce the iTulip, or the iBitcoin, it will go to thousands).

I have been setting buy orders at below the market; and on Fridays my buy gets executed (most of the time).

If everyone did that, the "Friday Syndrome" would soon disappear and reverse itself.
