Economic Darwinism
Natural selection is a powerful concept in evolutionary biology and I believe should be considered a working model for the healthy functioning of markets. Elements of the economy that are not suitable for survival should be allowed to perish. This goes for multibillion dollar corporations that are overly dependent on easy credit as well as for overextended consumers. Under such natural competitive conditions, the economy can adapt and the fittest will survive. When enterprises and individuals are unnaturally selected to survive when conditions indicate they otherwise would not only leads to bastardization of a healthy financial system.
