I have been an active trader for the past (5) years. I started trading stocks while serving in the military in early 2007. The commander of my unit was an avid trader, he was always offering trading advice. At one point he turned a $250 trade into $17,000 on a penny stock. Needless to say, after that a lot of us began trading the markets. I have personally never liked the OTC markets. There is to much risk involved and tons of manipulation going on. I try to stay with current market trends and dividend paying stocks. In 2008, I was fortunate to purchase shares of (F) Ford Motor Company and (AIG) American International Group that left me in a favorable position. I have continued to trade value and dividend stocks, until now. I have now taken an interest in trading options. While there are significant risk involved, there are also substantial rewards. It does not carry as much risk as the OTC markets, in my opinion. This all depends on the options contracts you choose to trade.
