Book Review: Joe Ponzio's F Wall Street

Am about three quarters through the book and I agree, this is a great book. I had read a few books about value investing (Rule #1 is another good one) and I think Joe's way of calculating Intrinsic is more accurate. Also his way of looking at Cash rather than earnings makes sense too. My suggestion is to take a combination of the two (Rule #1 and FWall Street) methods of calculating intrinsic value and make a judgement call on both sets of results.

And I have to agree that Ken Fisher's book "The only 3 questions you need to ask" is utter rubbish! I gave up on it half way through too and I'm wondering how it ever got on the NY Bestseller list!

Oil ETFs: Texas Tea or Empty Well?

Excellent observation. Except that if you actually consider the drop in oil as well, DBO actually performed quite well. In early Dec, Oil was trading at USD50 and it goes down to USD34 in Feb and then up to USD55 now. DBO went down the least and came up the least but at least they DBO is slightly higher than in early Dec. So if you had invested in DBO in early Dec, you would have recovered your gains...
