Recession Is Over; Depression Has Just Begun [View article]
to have something you just mentioned would take some catastrophic event to pull the trigger. A nuke somewhere, 'the big one' hitting cali, kayne west putting george soros in a bad mood..
there is going to be some serious debt relief to balance this out. It it doesn't come sooner, then it comes later where assets are so low people can buy back in and screw the holders twice

I seem to be a nomad and go from broker to broker to take advantage of their 'free trades for a month' or sometimes go to the expensive ones if i want to stop myself from overtrading
People do not really need good credit ratings as much as everyone likes to preach
In fact - if you took someone out of highschool and prevented them from ever having credit and then gave someone else as much as they have been, you can probably bet that the first person would be way more financially sound 20 years later

if i remember right, eBay was the one of the first dot coms to post a profit on their first quarter. i think it was a penny a share and that was huge news since all the 'new economy' kept making excuses on their burn rates at the time
anyway - i do not know why eBay just doesn't focus on auctions. did they grow to big?? well trim the fat and stay profitable

yes - we are all funding a busted basement gaming parlor. This isn't even a casino since they are fair and transparent.
Was was that rule allowed (by someone who worked for Enron no less) to let other people insure against your debt?
so if my neighbors buy home insurance on my home I am suppose to feel safe?
the market is too rigged for any fundamentals these days.
remember how people used to say that currency markets aren't that safe since governments can cause too much change in a matter of days??? how did ALL of our markets get to this phase?
no wonder so many people are just buying guns and ammo. It is something they can understand.
one thing I am tired of hearing is the "future generations are going to pay for this and that"
GenX'ers have been hearing that our whole life.. what did we pay off? weren't we stuck with some bill to pay? does anyone really think we are going to pay for this with same value dollars? inflate away the debt and we won't miss it. China, etc will be mad - so what's new?
