  • Seeking Alpha And David Einhorn: The Real Story [View article]
I hold no view re: this 'Valuable Insights' and MU situation. However, I for one, correctly guessed that Greenlight Capital was short GMCR in 2011, based on my own “joining the dots on publicly-available information". http://bit.ly/NMm3YL

I believe the public record, via twitter, shows I did not "resort to personal attack" and I did not "troll" you last year. In fact, I engaged you in "vigorous, rational debate." I recall I specifically took you to task for the misleading and/or false claims you were making about GMCR last year (which by the way, I believe time has fully proven me right, and you wrong). You never responded to me... so... you "welcome vigorous rational debate" ?

The fraud path remains just as important, if not more important, than all the reasons you stated in this piece.

It is unfortunate that if anything, it seems you have resorted to personal attacks, by alleging that I resorted to personal attacks and trolling. I stuck with the facts, and questioned your false claims to which you responded with a block, rather than a "I am wrong." Blocking someone who asks you specific questions does not seem consistent with someone who "welcomes vigorous rational debate."

There is no shame in being wrong...only in not owning up to your mistakes. Whatever the case, bottomline, welcome to the tent... Fraud Mountain Coffee Jokers (which I coined) will be an epic one, with fraud, fad, and failure all wrapped in one.

Maybe you should tell the world you were long GMCR a year ago when it was 3x higher, ignored the red flags I was pointing out, and blocked me for calling out your BS. The markets don't forget, last adapter! There is no shame in being wrong, but please don't try to revise history!

Well, we presume (unless you got specific, explicit notice saying so) it's your piece and that Gray Wolf fellow. They didn't specify publicly. If their stock had been flat or up this week, something tells me DDD would not have protested. That tells me this is not about truth/principal, it's about gaming their stock.

The lady doth protest too much (look up the meaning behind this quote...)

Hi Douglas, LongShortTrader here. Methinks the company's response (so far) suggests you're onto something. Great work. I wrote a piece about why I think DDD is doing it all wrong, by attacking the messenger: http://bit.ly/RYLuFC

A smart (and reasonably ethical) CEO would WELCOME short sellers, because if the shorts are WRONG, then you as a company are almost guaranteed to have 'motivated buyers'.

    Hi Jason,

    You mention in the above:

For details of our analysis, readers can view the complete and entire GMCR report here .

Could you walk me through how you calculate 'Operating Cash Flow' in your updated report on gmcr ? Or email me the spreadsheet?

I am specifically referring to page 2, line item 'Operating Cash Flow (OCF)' with the amounts 430.5 for 6/25/2011 , 283.2 for 9/24/2011, etc.
