  • Did 3D Systems Get An All Clear From HP? [View article]
While Andreas has been a critic of 3DS (DDD) for the past several years, his comments have often proven to be valid. I remain a supporter of AM, although 3DS has repeated failed to organize and succeed in the forecast sales of its multiple AM technologies [machines and materials]. As Stone Fox has well articulated HP's announcement last year had adverse affect on the share price. It lead to heated contentions among the shorts and the longs over 3DS' future. The public announcement kept HP in the news and raised questions about 3DS long term success. Others such as Carbon 3D and TNO have made announcements of future high speed machines, more it appears to obtain capital. All seem to ridicule the current AM technologies by promising faster, better and cheaper machines in the immediate future. As with HP, where are they? To compound 3DS' difficulties, are the alleged misrepresentations about material aspects of its business which have generated a number of class action lawsuits. 3DS would benefit by replacing its CEO.

To succeed, sales must increase and the continuous fab grade 3D printer (racetrack--"50 times faster") shown at 3DS' Wilsonville, Oregon research facility must be promptly put into commercial production, as well as demonstrating increased sales (machines and materials) in its metals and medical modeling. In the present, I agree with the author. It may be time to start reassessing an investment in 3DS (DDD).

  • REITs see modest buying interest as stocks tumble [View news story]
The Fed may have waited too long to institute even a minimal interest rate hike in 2015. At this stage, whatever action or delay taken by the FED will be controversial. There must be considerably more policy issues among the Governors sitting on the FOMC than is being reported. Blaming the indecision on whether to raise interest and when because the Fed is 'data dependent' seems to be a poor scapegoat.

  • Amgen pays $71M to settle off-label promotion suit [View news story]
I think settlement has to do with AMGN's admissions in the 2012 case. Otherwise there may have been a legal fight. Considering AMGN is holding roughly $30 billion in cash, AMGN shareholders should be in fine shape.

  • RBC's Yee still bullish on Amgen; encroachment of Neulasta biosimilar may be delayed until mid-2016 or later [View news story]
IMHO, Amgen is the best of class of the large Biotechs with Gilead a close second. It should continue to outperform.

  • Apple: The Market's False Correction [View article]
Agreed and well put. As the respected trader Laszlo Birinyi once stated:

". . . [T]he negative case is always more articulate, more intelligent, more compelling, because it's focused on what you can see now - on what's right in front of you. The market meanwhile is telling you what's ahead of you."

The future for Apple is quite bright and profitable.

Excellent article. OHI share price should be much higher, but the market is afraid of its shadow because of interest rates possibly being raised by the FED. Thanks.

  • A Major Shift At Bank Of America: Is Heat Increasing On Moynihan [View article]
The laudatory comments by the CEO about the departing CFO tell a story not being reported - that there was pressure from the Board and the CEO's job would be at issue if BAC fails the FED's test in September. The pressure on any CFO in Bruce Thompson's situation was and will be immense. This change will be the 3d or 4th CFO to be installed since Moynihan was installed as CEO. The stock has not reacted with great negativity to the announcement. This suggests the institutional investors are still weighing the news and taking a wait and see approach. It would not have been helpful to the Bank to have relieved the CEO at this stage.

Of course, 2016 may be a different. The headquarters is located in Charlotte and the CEO and other senior officers must be required to work there. BAC senior management is presently disjointed, disparate in location and somewhat dysfunctional. The Bank has survived an awful recession and multiple poor decisions from pre-Moynihan management. The institution can be a highly successful survivor but, at this point, the bank's future is at a crossroads.

Thanks for the article. The stock is on a slow but steady climb. Continued stock buy backs of $750 to $800 million a quarter will help the retail investor.

  • Bank Of America Remains A Poor Investment [View article]
    Mr. Cheer:
    My post said ". . . best leadership since Hugh McColl. . . ."
To under estimate the very challenging tasks Mr. Moynihan has faced as well as the issues BAC must still resolve may very well cause an investor to look elsewhere. However, with most of the litigation issues resolved, or near resolution, with one dividend increase last Fall and the likelihood of another this Fall, and the Fed's approval earlier in 2015 that BAC could initiate a stock buy back ($775 million stock re-purchased in 2d QTR), as well as the possibility of a small increase in the interest rates, I remain of the opinion BAC's stock is undervalued and a "buy". Regards.

  • Bank Of America Remains A Poor Investment [View article]
Your article reads as though you are trying to gain sales momentum to cover a short. BAC has its best leadership since Hugh McColl was CEO. It is working down mountains of issues and is on a steady, but labored, climb back to significant profitability.
