  • In shakeup, Amarin names new CEO [View news story]
Sure I could retire if I were Joe Z and never look back if I took my company, with all the shareholders money, for some 5 to 10 million dollars. This is an example someone not having a sense of duty to all the stakeholders. Too bad in the civil suite we can't put someone like Joe Z in jail for at least 10 years to life. Maybe that is the reason why he didn't like answer questions during conference calls. Now for the new guy to take the helm is he going to get a salary in the millions?

We'll get screwed again! Some future? in Amarin

  • OCZ (OCZ +23.6%) rips higher after preannouncing revenue of $65M-$75M and a positive gross margin for the Feb. quarter (FQ4). Though the revenue range isn't great, the Street seems more interested OCZ is actually reporting something for the quarter, after repeatedly delaying the filing of its Aug. and Nov. '12 quarter 10-Qs. Some other details: OCZ had an FQ4 unshipped backlog of $18M due to NAND flash constraints; it has paid off its Wells Fargo credit facility, and taken out a loan from Hercules Growth Capital; and it has requested a hearing regarding its NASDAQ delisting notice[View news story]
I started my money management/option specialist business coming up on 3 years in June. It took me a good 2 years to realize that when you purchase stock in a company, that you are not buying the company, but the management of the company. I feel that OCZ is confirming that you should not be quick to pull the trigger on a stock but let it ride because it can take usually 3 to 9 months and then it turns around. It is like a good football team that does not panic but adjust, adjust, and adjust and usually when you get down to the last 2 minutes and then you start scoring and win the game. Investing bears a lot of resemblances to football. Hurray OCZ is getting ready to score and win the game of investing. Hey OCZ give em hell!

  • OCZ Technology (OCZ -18.3%) plunges to a mere $1.52 after telling the SEC it "cannot currently estimate the exact filing date" for its FQ2 (August quarter) 10-Q. Shares are now down 51% since OCZ stated on Wednesday it would delay filing its 10-Q, while warning revenue would be well below guidance. During an earnings call discussing the mess, new CEO Ralph Schmitt said management tried to "grow market share at all cost" in FQ2, something that led to a major gross margin hit. [View news story]
How do I get a job being a CEO? My judgment skills are as good if not better than the people who get these extremely high paying jobs. I can guarantee that I can lead a company to consistence profitability.

All my life I see people lead their companies down the sewer. When I work at these bum flank companies I see first hand keeping or taking orders from dumb bells, who are caught up in their greed. Tell me how to get a job like the CEO of OCZ had and when he was shit can he still got a full years salary and a seat on the board of directors. This is bullshit.

Give me a job like this and contrary to most CEO's I can make the company profitable.

  • OCZ Technology: 6 Reasons To Buy This Stock That Is The Constant Subject Of Takeover Rumors [View article]
I started my inestment career approximatly 2 1/2 years ago and I am very suprise how much I have gotten accomplished. I have noticed that quite frequently commentators give out information on why you should stay away from a stock, and more times than not by my disregarding their lousy advise I have profited. If you don't have faith in the future you wont have a future. OCZ for me was such a company, through out July and August it grind on in a narow range, but it has been profitable for me, because I look for reasonable returns, not gigantic lotteries. You know you can win the world siries with just getting singles and an occsional double and most of the time home run club seldom make it to the world series.

  • Elan (ELN +1.1%) trades higher this morning after UBS ups the shares to Buy, citing the spin-off of its Discovery Science and Neotope Biosciences businesses. The firm says the move turns it into a Tysabri-focused company with significant growth and under-appreciated operating leverage. Additionally, S&P put the stock's rating on creditwatch with positive implications, saying the spinoff is likely to lead to a better risk profile. [View news story]
Contrary to the conservative opinion the "Affordable Health Care Act AKA ObamaCare is going to be a financial windfall for the medical/Biotech industry. companies eg. Elan are in the vangard of this explosion in medician and the cures to come. Although there are other industries that I reseach, my principal focus is in biotech and eg. gene technology. You have to ask yourself if there wasn't a human/public good for the Affordable Care legislation why did the Supreme court turned back all of this conservative gibberish? As we come forward with new technologies and products our public cost for health will deminish.
