I am a Systems Engineer and Project Manager of Spaceborne Remote Sensing and Weather Instuments. I have 401Ks and an IRA. I am rolling a pension with a 5 year payout period into my IRA. I self manage my 401K and IRA investments which are a mixture of Foreign, Domestic and Bond mutual funds as well as Foreign and Domestic Dividend Growth stocks. My goal is to build my dividend income to a point that it will replace at least 80% of my present salary by the end of 2014. My dividend income is presently about 1/2 of the way to my goal after 40 months of active investing.
