reported..get enough "reports", they kick you out.

Those who have taken losses have done so at their own risk.

    Caveat Emptor.

When Insiders refuse to buy their company's shares No Matter How Low the price BUT continue to extoll the virtues of same, it should be a notable Red Flag.

Making mistakes is part of investing, continuing to make the same mistake ........

It dropped when people realized it was Old news.

This particular "News" came out last week. It came out prior to the plunge.

And if all of you wish to designate me as a "Troll" for picking on JP......so be it, because right now John is doing an Obama.

" I don't know anything, I am reading the same News all of you are. "

Highly doubtful, there will always be some tom/dick/harry who will "pump" (inflate the prospects/hype a stock).

There will always be a Perfect Mousetrap. Or in this case the Perfect Battery which No One wants.

    Caveat Emptor

2 years ago, from JP a direct quote:

"Your analysis of history is directionally correct but history is just barely interesting to an investor who has to decide whether he will be better off in the future with one share of Tesla at yesterday's close of $33 or 135 shares of Axion at yesterday's close of $0.24.

It's your choice. Would you rather have one share of a stock that's likely to lose at least half of its value over the next year or 135 shares a stock that could easily be a 5, 10 or even 20 bagger in the same timeframe?"

History should not be dismissed .......

oh and that qualifies it as an IPO?

"Maxim Group LLC is acting as the Sole Book Running Manager in the offering."

the size of the offer seems to have decreased and a press release is titled:

"Axion Power International, Inc. Prices Underwritten Public Offering of Common Stock and Warrants and Concurrent Uplisting to Nasdaq Capital Markets"

The Market on Axion seems to be taking it well.......last i saw was $2.40.

Like I said Good Luck Axion investors.

it will be an interesting debut.

Ebola and axe wielding attack in NYC may detract attention from AXPW's capital raising attempt.

AXPW was on the Nasdaq went to the pinks and now is raising capital to come back to the Nasdaq........I can call it an Initial Public Offering only in the sense that they are raising Capital this way for the first time since their IPO a decade ago.

    good luck AXPW investors.

The "New" filing is essentially the same as the old one.

Just a rehash with the same "best efforts" wording.

Please see Note #4 issued by the accountants dealing with "Going Concern". It essentially says, No Funding, No more Axion.

There is a caveat that the funding also has to be on favorable terms. I don't profess to be an accounting wizard but it seems like Maxim is not on the hook for anything other than trying to market it.

If it is unable to do, will Axion have to pay their expenses?

    not the day before?

Hard to keep up with the changing rules here......

    John Posted this above:

"In other words, the underwriter ALWAYS waits until the day before to finalize the paperwork. "

The key word is "unpriced". To set a $$$ not to gather investors or to change any data within the Document, or to change the date. And if the Underwriter postpones the date, it informs the parties involved.

There was no date. Barron's provides a summary of companies to be listed on the NYSE etc for the following week. It is published every Saturday for the following week. There aren't many. Axion was not listed.

    lol

    I enjoy your comments.

( I'm making a copy of this one John to send to SeekingAlpha's Administrators If you delete it.)

Since when does an Underwriter "Finalize" the day before its inception?

John's sources told him It was going to be last Friday. He made that statement on Oct. 14th. "Reliable" sources, No Need to Verify "Sources" during the Market Turmoil.....Not the day before. To accomplish this the "Paperwork" would have had to be ready to go as early as Oct. 13th for Maxim to tell these sources that Oct. 17th was the Date.

Have you ever been to a "Road Show"?

The Underwriter rents a Conference room in a city and invites various Brokerage Houses to attend. If there is interest, the Houses in turn will
send Brokers to view the Show. In turn, if they express interest, they will receive copies of the Prospectus to show to their clients. The client responses will indicate whether there will be participation.

While an IPO may be postponed due to market turmoil, it will not be because the investors have to be gathered nor will the Underwriter postpone it without informing anyone.

But then This Isn't an IPO (Initial Public Offering), its a "Hail Mary" on 4th down.

My husband was a Stockbroker, he owned a Brokerage Branch and went to Road Shows. But he's been out of the business for over 20 yrs. so things may have changed dramatically.

    I enjoy your comments.

After all, Maxim also said it was going to be on Friday a few days before "during the market turmoil". They set the date. The "paperwork" should have been finished. All they had to do was to submit it.

John said "Friday" last week. He had reliable sources.

Since when does an Underwriter wait until the day before to Finalize its paperwork. How does an Underwriter do a Road Show without a Prospectus? Is Axion being peddled as a "Dark Pool"?

    Are you another "Reliable Source"?

With the markets up sharply on Friday, it was an Ideal time to proceed.

What will they need, a 500 pt upside move?

You had very very reliable sources......that needed no verification...

Just call them, they'll tell you......
