Not that it should matter to investors, but I am not surprised that some Diebold executives are known for supporting Republicans. I used to live in that part of the world, and while there is a significant organized labor presence, the established members of the business community appeared to be in favor of bringing Herbert Hoover back -- it's a very conservative area in the suburbs and the countryside.
Perhaps they should consider tempering their support, or finding a few Democrats they like enough to contribute to, and just keep the business. They have been pretty successful over the years in a low key way.

The machine I used Tuesday printed your ballot choices onto a paper slip, which you could view through a window to verify it's correctness, then captured it into a secure compartment. What would be the problem with that?
