I was born at Zeiger Osteopathic Hospital (now gone) at the corner of Livernois and Michigan, was briefly a product of Dearborn Schools, and as a child accompanied my sergeant major dad to the Michigan Air National Guard NCO club when it was still at Wayne Major Airport (now Metro).

I fondly remember then but its all way too crowded for me now, and my Michigan (State) football memories are of Duffy when the Wolverines couldn't buy a win... in fact in my memories the most famous UM athlete was Cazzie Russell.....

I do still follow the Tigers occasionally (I remember a little of Van Patrick, and clearly remember Ernie's first years and attended Denny McLain's first major league start!) but everything else has faded... My son is a proud Spartan, though.
