  • Apple Will Save $3 Billion In 2015 By Selling 16GB iPhone 6/6 Plus [View article]
My friend who has been a loyal Apple head for years is ready to switch to Android. He says every time he tries to backup his phone to cloud he gets insufficient space messages and Apple continues wanting more and more money for everything since Steve Jobs death. Plus he said the phone downloads all his emails from his remote server and consumes the memory and will not allow him to delete these 1000's of emails? I don't know what to tell him except on my Android phone I don't have these issues and can add memory with SD cards and I am very happy with my Samsung Android phones.

hold your ground, ignore all the "brilliant" arrogant "know it alls" on this site, GPRO will do fine. I get so tired of these arrogant self important nimrods who troll here to put others down, thier egos are so fragile they have to try and 1 up everyone else so they can feel important and smarter than everyone else, it's pathetic and they undermine the quality of the discussion...

  • Weak Smartphone Markets May Disappoint The Apple Bulls [View article]
Here in Thailand over the last year I've seen fewer and fewer people with iPhones, people now realize how overpriced Apple products are or they simply have come to their senses now and buying the better and lower priced Samsung phones and other brands like Sony, Nokia, Lennovo and even brands being made locally like the iMobile is selling very well in the mid to low range smart phone market. Yes there are still a lot fools with more money than sense buying iPhones but with so much income inequality and low wages worldwide people are thinking twice before they pay double price for a smart phone just for status... bottom line, with all the other brands on the market now that perform very well, iPhones are just too expensive and not worth the premium.

  • AT&T: 5 Reasons We Are Interested Again [View article]
Re: Lorillard; I wish people would stop supporting tobacco stocks, just because they pay good dividends there are 1000's of other stocks to own that pay good dividends. Tobacco has killed so many people over the years and it should be outlawed but for the $billions/huge lobby they have. My sister died of lung cancer, smoking wrecked my spine with degenerative disc disease and my father has COPD Chronic Bronchitis and Emphysema. If people could see first hand what smoking does to thier loved ones they would never own a tobacco stock. When are we going to come to our senses about this evil product...

  • Berkshire Hathaway Invested In Verizon, Should You? [View article]
it's an ETF with no options to write to hedge with and no Telecom exposure, plus you will have standard commission fees to buy it, where as FIUIX is free to buy and you can average in. Plus it has almost half Telecom and communications stocks, not apples to apples... I'd rather buy XLU and sell options against that, plus it's has a huge daily average volume unlike this UTG etf.

unless you're going to sell covered calls on VZ or T, a good no brainer alternative looks like FIUIX, a no load Fidelity® Telecom and Utilities Fund with a 11.5% YTD return and a 5 year annualized return of 18% (note: Sector Weightings 49% utilities, 42% communications with VZ 27% of the assets)

interest rates are going no where while the XLU, Telecoms and bonds are doing great year to date, this trend will continue for a long while as money moves into more defense sectors and we wait for the coming crash. Stocks cannot go up forever.
