  • WSJ's Apple / Comcast Story Not Accurate, News Being Overblown On Wall Street [View article]
AAPL products are major rip offs and they only survive because of their cult member blind faith followers that have more money than sense. Here in Asia you see very few people now buying their rip off junk phones and computers, they suck and it's only a matter of time before this greedy over hyped fat cow of a company will start to lose even more market share and have to start buying companies that have people who are still hungry and know how to innovate.

I would never stoop so low as to buy a gun stock or any stock related to guns or a tobacco stock, although I do like gold some what and I would be interested in farmland or real estate but no one will give me a loan...

AAPL lost their innovative edge with the passing of Mr. Jobs and has turned into an company selling overpriced commodity electronics. They are having thier butt kicked by Samsung in the smart phone market big time and it's not looking good going forward from here. If it wasn't for thier brainwashed cult following they would really be in trouble. You can buy an Android TV box for $40-60 which is going to dominate that market over iOS too. And parenthetically, when NFLX goes down to double digits Jesus will have returned and hell will be frozen over...

AAPL is really being damaged by Samsung and the iPhone has turned into an expensive 2nd rate phone. You can buy an Android TV box for $60 to get free cable with the XBMC app and this Comcast story is old news anyway. With the passing of Mr. Jobs, Apple has turned into a bloated, boring and even more greedy company with over priced commodity products and a brainwashed cult following. They lost their innovative edge and are turning into Microsoft.

If you have new money to invest, the best thing to try and do is build a portfolio of the most crash proof stocks & bonds you can. The 1% will all get a heads up soon to start selling and go short. Then a huge crash will come and wipe out a lot of small players and many of the "little people's IRA's" as more of the middle class continues to be devastated and withers away like George Costanza in the Seinfeld Shrinkage episode. Then the super rich 1% will come back into the markets and make even more money as they continue to pay people lower & lower wages and buy politicians to get their taxes lower and lower as their greed knows no bounds or intelligence. As the double edge sword of lower wages, high unemployment, income inequality and inflation will drive the world economies into ruin... god help us.

Do you have any individual stock picks you recommend in the utility sector that would be good candidates for a near the money covered call strategy, like SO, DUK, NEE or D?

  • Verizon: A Very Strong Buy Recommendation [View article]
I am 100% in cash, if I initiate some new big positions in VZ and T does anyone have any idea what these stocks will do when we see a 10% (or more) crash in the overall indexes, will they hold up nicely as safe haven stocks? Because I know one thing for sure, as soon as I start putting money back to work in the market it will come crashing down, I have been out of the market since losing 25% of my life savings last year in Apple shares.

  • A New Opportunity To Buy AT&T Is Here Now [View article]
you said: "I strongly believe that AT&T is a value company that is currently trading at a discount compared to its intrinsic value. All these facts make me to believe that AT&T is a buy now for value investors... I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours."

I just wonder why you don't own the stock if you feel so strongly that it is such a great buying opportunity, or are you just waiting to get past the earnings report to buy or just don't have the money?

wish I would have put my money in an index fund and left it there, I have been losing money since I first starting tying to invest in 1987 trading in and out of mutual funds, buying stocks, selling options and so on. I lost some much over the years I would have been better off leaving my money under my mattress, great headline...

  • AT&T's Got Your Back With The New LG G2 [View article]
I can't believe how expensive smart phone voice/data/text plans are, I just looked at the link for LG G2 thru at att.com and it looks like a basic plan with voice/data/text would cost $80 a month, are you kidding me? Here in Thailand I have a basic data plan for 20 hours that cost $3 a month or get unlimited 4G for $30 a month (and never use it all up with free wifi most places) and pre paid voice/text 6 cents/4 cents for a text. Plus you can use an app called LINE similar to skype for free texting/voice/messagin... etc similar to Skype but better (all the Thai ladies love this app). I don't think I can ever afford to live in America again, last time I was there I got a prepaid Virgin Mobile phone that worked fine with unlimited text/data with 300 minutes of voice for $35, or you can unlimited everything for $55 a month...

  • 4 Reasons The Junk Bond Rally Will Continue In 2013 [View article]
what solution do you have to finding yield or a better idea for the retirement investor, putting funds in the equity market like a blue chip mutual fund and hoping we don't have a crash soon now that we are seeing 5 year highs? At least with HYG I can sell call options to hedge and get a nice monthly dividend. I would have been way better off moving all my money to Thailand and into the Thai Baht/gov bonds 5 years ago given it's one of the the strongest currency's in the world...20/20 hindsight.

  • 4 Reasons The Junk Bond Rally Will Continue In 2013 [View article]
What do you think about HYG compared to REITS like NLY, IVR and TWO (I keep seeing articles about their spin off Silver Bay). I live in Thailand and have government bonds here, I really like emerging markets bonds and looking at EMB too. I just can not risk any more huge loses like what happen to me with Apple stock last year, I am in major conservation mode now and have not bought anything since getting out of a huge loosing position last year. Hope this year is a better, thanks for your article.
