Peter Pratt is a telecom industry consultant specializing in broadband stimulus funding and regulatory strategies for the sector.

Always working at the nexus between public policy and new business models, he has served as a regulator, market analyst, network developer, electronic publisher, government affairs point person, and serial venture manager. He is credited with building one of the first fiber optic networks operated by an American city, in Somerville, MA in 1987. He was NATOA's first Congressional witness to call for telephone company entrance into the video delivery market, in 1989. He helped develop the market targeting strategies for the largest dark fiber networks built during the telecom boom era of the late 1990s.
